The Lightning Lane Thread! All WDW Info Here

You should be able to. But I would use different accounts to avoid errors. I tried this last year on 2 devices with DHs phone and my phone but my account. His phone seemed to get the spinning wheel of death more often. I didn’t even think to use his account. :woman_facepalming:

Ok Thanks for the tip! I’ll make sure he’d logged in as himself and I will be logged in as me.

I can’t remember where the discussion was but I noticed TT is finally back up tonight! Hope your party makes it on.

Thanks Jeff! They rode it shortly after it opened in the early afternoon! I guess it actually was a good thing they had the MEP from yesterday because I don’t think there were any drops earlier today?

Hope you guys have a great time tonight!

I’ll be using Lightning Lane soon, for the first time in a couple years.

Last time, if I bought an individual LL for Tron or Cosmic Rewind, I could use it any time later in the day. So, for example if I bought an individual LL for 9am-10am, I could actually use it any time until park close. Is that still the case?

I think you might be remembering the VQ?

With a single pass, you can definitely show up 119 minutes late. More time might be ok (anytime). but 119 is safe.

You remember the Virtual Queue boarding groups. For ILL you always had to keep your timeslot.

You can choose your return window. You have a grace period of 119 minutes.

Odd scenario today: I had a lightning lane for Pirates, and the ride went down. LL converted into the handy multi-experience ticket.

But after I got the multi I could also book a new LL for pirates, about 20 minutes in the future. Which then also converted into a multi when the ride was still down. I repeated this and ended up with 4 or 5 multi, more than we could use. Rode new Buzz and BTM a bunch, no complaints.

I wanted to report that I had an LL for SDD that converted to MEP. I was running super later for TSM and was almost at the 119 limit so I checked into that without thinking. It took the TSM and kept the the MEP fortunately.

Last night was great - lots of rides down due to rain plus Pirates. I got quite a few MEP.

Cross-posted, in case you see this elsewhere.

I can’t believe I am even considering this, but I am planning on getting LLPP for three of our park days, including one at MK in mid-December, the full week before the week of Christmas. We’re staying on-site, so I know I can get the passes seven days prior. My stay is at the same resort, but it is split. Our MK day will be on the second reservation. I want to confirm that I can purchase LLPP seven days from the start of our first reservation, though, correct?

Also, I looked at the Thrill Data info, but the December historical data is missing. Should I have to worry about the pass being unavailable seven days out? I know my seven days is someone else’s three days, etc., and it looks like the MK sells out roughly three days in advance, so I am a little concerned. My only other alternative is using LLMP/SP and doing MVMCP, which is what we’ve done in the past to avoid having to cram everything into one day… but the party will almost certainly be sold out at that point.

No comment on the overall situation but I think that you have this backwards.

If your reservations were made under a single profile, they will be linked and bridged so your 7 days counts from the date of your first checkin, through length of stay (up to 14 days).

It is true that LLPP sometimes sells out at busy times, but as you said it usually sells out closer to the day of (eg, 3 days in advance) so by the time it’s 3 days before your park day, you will long since have purchased LLPP and it will be locked in.

Do I? Not surprised, lol! I have only used this newer system once in 2024.

I did have it backwards like the OP said. Thank you! This makes me feel better. My #1 concern was not knowing if I needed to purchase MVMCP tickets next month as my alternative.

I think what you are thinking of is that your 7-days is someone else’s day 10. Obviously your 7 days is also someone’s 3 days, but you’ll be booking 4 days before them so it doesn’t matter.

Yes! Thank you for clarifying. I feel the dumb right now, but hopefully my post helps someone else equally as confused. I sure miss the old paper Fastpass system.

I promise you everyone has gotten confused about some aspect of the LL at some point! It is mind bogglingly confusing.

I just didn’t want you to stress out about lots of people having 3-day booking advantage over you. The only people beating you to your dates are people who check in before you or with long trips.
