Even for the offsite rope drop? We always rope drop FOP during early entry and usually make it onto the first flight by being there 1hr before EE. But I’ve never tried at regular park open and fear that EE crowds will already have created a bit of a back up.
Oh I missed that detail. It very well might be 90 min for offsite.
Thank you! This is helpful. I will reconsider GotG and see if we can swing it.
I love your plan. I think it’s very doable. The only thing I would personally change is 2 non park days in a row followed by 3 back to back open to close park days. Towards the end of the trip is when we start to feel it. I would want one of those rest days on Wednesday. But this is our personal preference. I think you’ve got a solid LL plan. I do think if you are going to buy LLSP, Tron or GotG are worth it. These are RD priorities for so many. The lines are long and the queues aren’t THAT great.
Absolutely agree! We had originally spaced out our rest days more evenly throughout the trip, but I found out just a couple days ago that my college-age brother has an online summer class (that he really can’t miss) that fell on three of our planned park days, so we rearranged the days at the last minute to accommodate. This was the best order we could come up with, given his (very unfortunate!) schedule! ![]()
Booo! Gotta do what ya gotta do though. I would just make sure those last 2 days have the least amount of walking. I know it’s hard to give up park time, but maybe you could have a half day break Wednesday evening or Thursday morning. I wouldn’t recommend LLs on those days if you did that. Just something to consider. If you do RD to close on both those days… those are very long days to end the trip with.
We will try!
I definitely agree that we’ll be pretty exhausted by that point. And by park day #5 we will have already visited each park twice, so hoping to have already checked most of the must-do’s off our list by that point. Then we can focus those last two days more on shows, smelling the roses, and a few favorite re-rides (or rides we missed) rather than scurrying hither and yon!
I just did a modest refresh mostly focused on the “Priorities” section. Let me know if anyone notices anything throughout the lead post that is stale, incorrect, or obsolete.
I need thoughts! For 6/10, I have Rock & Roller Coaster at 10 and ToT at 10:45 then TSM not until 12:30. Should I be swapping that for Runaway Railroad earlier and trying to catch on a drop? I thought muppets would make RnRc a better grab than slinky but I’m doubting myself, though I should be able to hit a drop. I’ve got a group including newbies so trying to hit everything on one day.
I think what you have looks good and personally I would leave it alone, unless you can get an earlier TSM by continuing to modify. MMRR is Tier 1 so you won’t be able to get that unless you drop RNRC.
It is turning out that SDD is still hotter than RNRC as far as how quickly return times go. But SDD has relatively consistent drops, so I would hold on to that RNRC and try to pick up SDD on a drop.
This is the decision I made for my daughter’s plan. I hope she can grab SDD on the drop. ![]()
Thank you!!
This! for both of us.
Well. A little more than a month until my trip and for reasons I haven’t been paying attention to things Disney. I have some catching up to do. Hopefully not too much has changed in regards to LL….
Morning return times for headliners for check-in day (Day 7), and the following 1-2 days (Days 7+1 and 7+2) can be tough. It’s great if you plan a resort day for your day of arrival.
We’ve added Lightning Lane return-times charts to the site for WDW and DL.
Here’s Buzz Lightyear as an example:
Typical Day-Of Lightning Lane Return Times, filterable by crowd levels:
The dropdown allows you to select the threshold at which Lightning Lanes are gone. For example, if you select “305%”, then the chart will show X’s for data point markers when the historical odds of LLs being gone at that time are 30% or more.
We put the dropdown there because different people have different risk thresholds there. So you can choose to see when LLs run out based on your own preference.
There’s also a chart for “21-to-1 day in advance” distribution trends, with the same dropdown:
These charts supplement the new “Day-of Drop Times” data we added last month:
I’m not seeing how to get to the same-day LL return times based on crowd levels. It’s only showing wait times.
Ah, try it now @jeffg4 ! I think we overwrote something in a small release this morning. Should be there now.
It’s there now - thanks.
Can only 1 person in your party be booking LL at 7am or if we are all linked can I person be booking for all of us at HS when the other is booking for all of us at EP at that same time? (7am at 7 days out)
