I’ve read you will have to pay extra if hopping to a higher priced park though.
The way I recall it being worded is if you modify your three pre-booked LLs to a higher priced park, you have to pay the difference to the higher priced park. But on the day of for your 4th+ LL, hopping is no extra charge.
You have to read between the lines a little in Disney’s released verbiage – I think the above was stated by Scott Gustin. Here is Disney’s description:
Reading this I think the modify after expiration is dead. BUT I like the wording that after the arrival window passes you can look for availability for your next LL.
I may elaborate on my testing plans for this in the advanced thread
Hmmm I’ll believe it when I see it in action. Or they could just bundle it into the price of hoppers.
Alright - to be clear - this is what should happen in my scenario - am I right or off base?
- book on-site resort reservation
- buy convention tickets
- make park pass reservations
- book MP & SP LLs at 7 days before my resort reservation for length of stay.
Is that right? I want to make sure that convention tickets will still yield length of stay booking.
Staying on-site dictates when you can start booking, 7 days vs 3 days. And that is for length of stay up to a max of 14 days.
Convention tickets have never acted any differently than “regular” tickets for any system implemented.
Interesting, thanks for sharing!
One thing that’s so interesting to me is how Jungle Cruise has seemed to increase in popularity over the years. I think the film had something to do with it, as well as the changes that were made a few years ago. But also I think it’s just part of the retro trend of appreciating the classics.
Also, Mission: Space Orange running out is cute.
Literally shocked me !
Interesting that some of the MK ride run outs seem to have a inverse relationship to crowd level? BTMR and PPF for example. I was thinking that is proof that Disney manipulates capacity but I didn’t really think they could play with PPF capacity too much…
I updated the Order of Priority (mostly) based on the article. I judgmentally pushed WtP above Under the Sea.
I will really have to think through how this is even possible.
BTMR will be closed when we go, we don’t really need to ride PPF or JC and we could pretty easily just do a 5 minutes after rope drop ride on SM. Do I really pay for a Multipass just for TBA??
I would
Especially since there is no Standby. I would want to ride twice. But if you’re there enough days maybe VQ is sufficient.
I wonder if there is any correlation with standby wait times. Maybe they just issue a higher percentage of LLs during peak times.
I was surprised by the wait times for the Jungle Cruise too, then we rode it and my 18 year old daughter absolutely loved it. She’s normally shy and reserved but the corny humor has her laughing hysterically and answering questions. I made sure to book it again while we were there.
It seems to go without saying, but one suggestion I have for Genie+ is to be clear with everyone before you visit the park who will be booking the Lightning Lanes. We had a situation where another member of our group, who was unfamiliar with exactly how to book a lightning lane, booked one at exactly the same time I tried to. When I realized what had happened, they had not booked all of the members of our group, I had to fix it which cost us another couple of hours before I could book another ride. I was finally able to get everything back on track and we went on everything we wanted to (and more), but it was a needless annoyance that I could have avoided had I just made my thoughts clear.
1 day into an extended family trip of 11 people we had one family member (sister-in-law who had never been to WDW) decide that G+ was easy and she could do it better than me. So for our MK day from 7:30 am- 4:00 pm she, her husband and her daughter ended on with 5 attractions and a cavalcade. The rest of us experienced 14 attactions in the same period of time. The next day my brother-in-law asked his wife to turn their LL booking back over to me.
At least you didn’t let her take over your plans too! 5 rides at MK?? Not doing it right.
