The Lightning Lane Thread! All WDW Info Here

I’m not sure if this has been posted. I just modified a LLSP to another day as well as another park. Changed SMDT today to GOTG tomorrow in the app. I’m sure the blue tent people are happy about this. I did pay more but worth it not to lose original investment.

Thanks for your report! This has been reported by a couple of others as well. It’s a great feature.

Sort of general clarification question about when the 7 day booking window starts.

Example:
Someone is staying onsite and say they arrive on the 12th of a month so that is their first night but no parks that day. Would they be able to book LLMP on the 5th (7 full days before arrival) or the 6th (includes arrival day as one of the 7 days)?

Thanks

Seven days from check-in day, regardless of park ticket date or type. So the 5th in your example.

So my DD23 (the one that is a CM ) has a friend from the UK with questions. I think I answered this one right but I’ve been out of town and not paying attention!

If you are park hopping you just buy for the first park correct? Is there a second charge if you hop to a park that costs more?

Yes! And no, there is no additional charge when you hop.

Your pre-selections can only be in the first park. But you only need to use one of them. As soon as you tap into any one of them on the day of, you can modify the other two to the other park if desired.

Thank you, that’s what I thought but (counting) dates are the one math area that my brain really second guesses on. :joy:

The only time you would pay the difference is if you were to change your park before tapping in. Say you booked a day as AK and paid, then changed your mind before getting to the parks and wanted to switch to MK you would have to pay the difference (but no refund the other way). Otherwise, once you tap in and if you have PH tix you don’t pay anything more for LLMP to hop.

Thanks!

I should note, you buy the first park where you plan to use a LL. If you want to go to AK for an hour to RD without LL, then go to HS for a few hours using LLs before hopping to MK, you should buy for HS.

Yes, I did mention that part. I’m surprised how much I’ve picked up just from IG and Twitter blurbs over the last week

Does anyone have confirmation of what is the most people you can make LL reservation for?
I have a party of 14. I have heard rumors it is 12, but has there been confirmation?
@len

@Jeff_AZ can we add this to the top post?

This is what I’ve heard:

I don’t have official confirmation but if anyone is able to confirm (either an announcement by Disney or through first-hand experience) I will add to the lead post. I don’t like to add info based on a single second-hand report.

Just my opinion: I bet you will be fine booking for this many most of the time. But you might run into trouble if you are trying to pick up a drop or random availability due to someone cancelling. Drops are usually party of 6 in my experience, and cancellations obviously can be as small as 1 or 2 depending on who cancelled.

But if your intention is to stick together the whole time, you may not have much of a choice. You could split your party for booking, which can be advantageous in limited circumstances (ie to pick up a drop) but may be more hassle than it’s worth the rest of the time.

yes, of course!

If someone only has a party ticket for that day, can they book a single LL for Tron with a start time before the park closes? Or do you need a day ticket to book one?
Thanks.

This is true @blemon!

I’d like to know this too.

And, can I get in the VQ at 7AM for Tron and use when I enter MK for the party at 4PM? Since there is not VQ during the party for Tron or TBA, I’d love to have a VQ for one of them to use from 4-6PM. I don’t want to spend 45-60 minutes in line for either during party time.

My guess would be no but purely a guess. I think it’s he 4-6 pm entry would just allow you to do standby.

Google AI response:

*Yes, you can use Disney’s free virtual queue at Disney World and Disneyland Resorts without purchasing a Lightning Lane Multi Pass.

You can access virtual queues through the My Disney Experience app at 7 AM and 1 PM. To be eligible, you must have a valid admission ticket and park reservation.*

The bold part I think is the key.

I didn’t think you could get in the VQ last year with just party tickets but park reservations were in play then but they aren’t now. I’d love for someone to test this to see if VQ works with only a party tickets. I too don’t think it will but I’d love for someone to try during the August parties.
