So I know you can change what day you’re using LLMP, but does anyone know how late you can change it? Can you do it on the day you originally purchased it for? Does anyone know the cutoff point? Thinking of buying a 2-day convention ticket (that I would use eventually anyway) if it means I wouldn’t have to buy LLMP every day I wanted to test something.
According to the rules it is up until tap into the first LL.
My guess is you can’t join the 7am queue and you can only join the 1pm queue if you’re in the park, meaning the VQ has to remain open long enough for you to join whenever you gain entry, which is unlikely unless you have an AP or other ticket type to get in earlier (in which case you could just join 7am). Just conjecture.
I vaguely remember someone being able to use Genie+ during a party. It might have been TallPall. Haven’t seen him in a while.
Me neither. But I didn’t want to say anything ![]()
Ugh what a frustrating morning…did I just have bad luck? Or are others experiencing this too? Got up early to try to book rides at MK for Aug. 11. Had the countdown clock up, went in right as it turned 7, Tiana sold out (has to be people with earlier stays?), HM only afternoon (same issue as Tiana?), mine train nothing before 1230pm… was able to get SM at 10, Tron at 915, buzz at 1110, and barnstormer at 12. Availability stunk.
And because of the type of passes we have (golden oak APs) we can do 7 day ahead booking but no more because there isn’t “length of stay” with no hotel booking. I assume this will always be a problem because hotel guests with overlapping stays will always have taken those slots for Tiana, slinky, etc…
So is the only way we can do Tiana’s is VQ given this limitation? I was happy to have the 7 day booking but now seeing what’s available, it’s actually not that helpful unfortunately.
Just wondering if I’m missing something here and there’s some strategy I could employ better or something lol. I’ve had decent luck with VQ in the past so I’m not opposed to doing it, but it sure does feel bad to have paid so much for this AP for our family and we can’t even prebook the rides we’d like to do.
Oh and modifying was crazy… the system at one point was showing earlier times for rides but not letting me choose them because I had 10 min overlap of something else. After getting beyond frustrated, I called and a nice CM was able to manually change for me but she explained my issue was two-fold. 1) system doesn’t like overlapping times and tries to force you into later ones and 2) because I had not chosen 3 pre books because availability was terrible and I didn’t want what they had…that also can cause issues with modifying according to her. So, I threw in barnstormer so I’d have 3 to hopefully avoid more issues.
Can we please just go back to before July 24? I’m too stressed out lol
For Tiana, I had the same experience booking 7 days out - no availability. I kept checking and on the third day (so 4 days before arrival) there were slots available for the whole afternoon. So it’s worth going back in and checking for that if Tiana is your priority. Alternatively, when the ride is working well, it has very regular day of drops, so you could always try to grab it after tapping into your first LL.
Thank you! I will keep checking. I hate to sound like a Debbie downer over here but boy is this a frustrating experience that I never had with genie plus.
People have found that it is easier to cancel and rebook rather than modify. Hopefully Disney will improve the interface to make modifying easier.
As far as availability, keep checking! Something may pop up in the intervening days or on the day of.
It seems like availability starts to decline (on a sliding scale) on day 7+3. Anything 7+4 or beyond is reportedly wide open.
I think that is why there has been a suggestion that there could be rebooking drops.
Do you have to have park reservations? I thought MK on the weekends had some sort of AP restriction but I’m not sure of the details. Just wondering if that could be a contributing factor.
That doesn’t seem fair. So you can book it, want to book it “legally” but the system olis trying to decide what is best for you based on what it wants you to do?!
This is MDEs issue and it should be resolved.
Golden Oak APs don’t require park reservations like some of the other APs do. They function similar to the incredipass (but are more $$) with a few different perks. Although with this new system some of the perks I paid for in November when I bought them no longer apply which kinda stinks. I’m sure the fine print says “we can change anything without notice so too bad for you” haha
And for sure this is an MDE issue they need to fix. Why should I have to start cancelling things to rearrange them because the system seems to randomly decide that it doesn’t want you to overlap things. The modify feature worked fine before…not sure why Disney had to go and mess with it lol
Or I guess i need to book a hotel stay I don’t need in order to access past the 7 days lol
To improve it of course! ![]()
I’m planning to give it a shot for the 8/16 party, but so far, reports I’ve seen are that people have not been successful booking LLMP or LLSP with only a party ticket. I was able to that 2 years ago when G+ was still fairly new, but that was towards the end of when you could buy it for the entire length of your ticket. I will definitely attempt to join the VQ at 7am.
I cannot. We have MNSSHP on 8/16; convention tickets for other park days; no plans or reservations to visit another park on party day.
When I try to purchase Tron for party day, it tells me I do not have a reservation for that day.
Maybe if your tickets are not convention tickets the message might b different, but I have confirmed that I cannot purchase LLSP on party day without some form of other ticket on that day.
I put out the call a while ago in UT and tried to find his moving buddy to no avail (he was the OG reason we came up with those). I was ignored by most (not particularly unusual
). I think he has decided to move on. ![]()
I think he has decided to move on
I think you are right. @QwertySC were you one of tall pauls moving buddies? Maybe @ryan1 ?? I know both don’t frequent (or maybe even go at all) to the UT thread.
I think it might have been @bebe80 who was Tall Paul’s moving buddy. @mathhound I didn’t respond when you asked in the UT because I didn’t know the answer. I don’t think any of his moving buddies frequent that thread. ![]()
