I think saying any one of them is most clear

Until the first tap in to any LL, correct. They will all be “pre-booked” until you tap into an LL for the first time that day.
Probably a better way to say that sentence, lol. You don’t have to tap into an LL to book your next one. Expiring can count as “used” as well. Expiring just doesn’t remove the restrictions. Only tapping into an LL can do that.
@Jeff_AZ is the resident explainer. Lol. Hopefully he can make sense of my jumble.

@Jeff_AZ has a descriptor of this in the OP I see. That’s good as I see return windows as “basic”. The rest gets complicated. Your description of tapping into the park vs tapping into the first LL and the rules that apply, was nice! Definately helped make sense of things.

We all agreed this wasn’t going to be good for late arrival. And maybe it is the worse of the possible scenarios. But that poster insisted it was terrible for EVERYONE. I don’t think that is proving to be the case

I see @Flavita and I are :brain:

:joy: :joy: But you DON’T understand these systems at all

Oooh this is soooper nice. That makes the system more useable. Will be interesting to see what the cut off ends up being! The only problem is if the ride goes down, you don’t get that MEP.

This needs to be on a t-shirt,

Can a ride not be modified to a different experience? I see your point, I’m just making sure I have the correct facts

As I am sorting things out for myself, new clarification, you can actually modify the date or your park up until the time you tap into your first LL. I thought that was when you tap into the park, but I was wrong.

So, at WDW, taping into the park gets you nothing. Got it!

This thread would seem to refute this, albeit it was day 2 so people had only pre-booked for ne day.

Thanks for sharing that. I hope the same day availability sticks around - it definately seemed to help.

For me, this is not as good a situation for late arrival as it was before. I’d rather stack at the pool than do all of that while in the park. Lately I am much worse about doing things while in the park as I was back in the FPP days. BUT, clearly you can make it work no matter your touring style - and that is what counts!

Yes. It was a bit melodramatic! And it’s not exactly terrible for late afternoon people. You just won’t be able to hit all the headliners in 1 evening without some wait time. HS and EP have the biggest problem in my opinion just because they lack quantity. AK doesn’t have Tiers and MK has so much to do you can’t spend just one evening there and get it all done anyway.

But the only advantage to booking and letting it expire is to book another one. Planning to cancel and rebook later wouldn’t really help in most cases. The only one I can think of off hand is at HS. Booking MFSR for 9am because all of the other Tier 1s are completely sold out during prebooking. Then when it expires you can hope to have availability at another more desirable Tier 1. But that’s still iffy.

It can. But you are subject to the overlapping times rule. You will not be given the option to modify the plan with the overlapping time. You can only modify one thing at one time. Like dining will say do you want to keep the new booking and cancel the one that causes a conflict? The new system for LLs doesn’t do that.

I mean it gets you into the park… :crocodile:

Oh, I don’t plan to cancel and rebook. Sometimes my day goes sideways or runs behind and I get anxious about the grace period! I feel much better if I can book for the new window when I know I will be riding the ride. So not a hack! for newbies getting used to the flow of the parks I see this as making it way more useable.

True point

Yes it can.

The only reason I bring it up is that one user yesterday reported getting a Tier 1 at 9:40am and they were unable to book something for 9:00am because there was nothing else left for the Tier 1 so they couldn’t move it, and they couldn’t book a second LL in that slot because of the limitation on overlap.

It’s kind of a rare situation, IMO.

It’s a nice feature. I’ve lost some pretty good rides because I wasn’t able to make it to a ride even with the 119 grace period.

What does it show? Just an error message? Or maybe a message saying it overlaps but without the option to switch…

Makes it sooooo stressful. I almost lost several rides for relying on the 119 min rule too much.

I sympathize :joy: I can be very dramatic when I feel strongly about something. I could have been that person. I just didn’t care that much about stacking I guess.

I assure you you have never been as dramatic and one-note as that person.:rofl::rofl:

ok, maybe in the Eras thread. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::rofl:JK JK
