Not even when I said IPhone 15’s camera is the most useless piece of garbage ever?? ![]()
Nada. It says “could not secure”. You see it, then when you click on it you have to pick the available party. In my case I already have a KRR so I can’t switch EE to KRR.
Oof, that’s annoying. ![]()
Not even close! I used the word dramatic as a much nicer than deserved way to describe the tantrum that was happening. They were being a real douche bag.
Wait, so if you didn’t already have KS, it would offer you to switch with EE?
What I’m saying is it offered me to switch EE to KRR, even though I already had a KRR on my account.
If I didn’t have a KRR I could have gone through the process and switched it.
It would be better if instead of saying we couldn’t do this it would say would you like to modify your existing KRR instead? Or not show the option to begin with.
ETA: I’m not sure if it’s clear in the picture but my original reservation is for EE. In that picture I was trying to modify it to KRR. Even though I already had one it allowed me to select it and go through the process before telling me it couldn’t be done.
@Flavita I goofed!!! I kept typing KS. I MEANT KRR. Fixed. But for the record I have a KS also, lol.
One thing I’ll note – I expect that some of the interface items could change pretty quickly. When Genie+ launched, there was no ability to modify, IIRC – in any case, the process definitely changed multiple times.
As Disney tests and gets feedback on the interface, they may push updates to make the process more seamless. Not that it will ever reach the ideal level, like BG1.
But I don’t think they want it to take 3 minutes to modify.
I didn’t run into that at all. And I’ve been playing around with modifying for a couple days. Everything was loading pretty quickly for me. But I’ve been on fast wi-fi too.
I expect Disney to make changes. I hope I get a survey because I will critique the new system by letting them know what improvements and changes are working and what I think would be best to change. I will try to be objective with my recommendations.
Oh, sorry, I misread your first reply. Got it. Then it’s not as annoying as I thought. I like that it offers you an alternative, but yeah, it would be better if it were an open-ended “would you like to modify” offer.
It also didn’t help that I repeatedly kept saying the wrong attraction!
sorry for the confusion.
There is enough clunckiness to MDE. They need to learn less is more.
UNLESS WE ARE TALKING ABOUT RIDES. THEN MORE IS MORE. ![]()

Hey @len - do you have a sense if the # of LLs allocated per day are the same as they were under G+, or are they holding back because of the rollout? It’s weird to see attractions like HM, PoC, SSE, etc all have late return times, and LLSP seems to get sold out a lot earlier than it did just a week ago. Crowd levels can’t be up that much, can they?
FWIW, this is/was/has been my favorite YT’er on Genie+ videos. Currently watching his LLMP video.
What a great read.
I didn’t know the official grace was 60 after a ll.
I don’t think we can know right now, because everything is so unstable.
As one example, it looks like a lot of ride availability is gone days in advance. Like, Spaceship Earth, Soarin, Nemo, LWTL, and JII didn’t have any availability today.
So what causes that?
- It could be that Disney kept the same daily supply of LL spots for each attraction, but demand for LLMP was so high it took everything on Day 1 or 2.
Disney’s Industrial Engineers had to make an assumption about how popular LLMP would be when it rolled out. A starting assumption of “LLMP will be as popular as G+ is” is reasonbly safe, if you had to make a first guess. Like, I can see how that’s where you’d start. It’s not crazy.

It could be that the demand for 3 advance attractions wasn’t calculated correctly. But Disney’s engineers are really smart, so I’d be moderately surprised here.

Some sort of technical/other issue that’s not allowing them to allocate seats that should be able to be allocated.
One way to tell if (1) is true is to see if demand for dining reservations goes up. We have circumstantial evidence that G+ was lowering park dining reservation demand. If we see that go up, then (1) becomes more likely as the answer.
One way to tell if (2) is correct is if the amount of capacity allocated to LL over time goes up. (So the ratio of LL guests to SB guests would increase.)
We’re tracking this, and as of today it doesn’t look like it’s happening.
I think we’ll know more by Monday. Great question, @mikejs78 .
Is it possible Disney is intentionally making LL availability lower than it was under Genie+ to have a lesser impact on standby lines? Or do you expect them to significantly recalibrate inventory?
But he didnt say it was going to be bad for people who didnt go until later…he said it was aweful for all and how dare we think differently…
Thats a very nice way of putting what he said. I think there were plenty of insults hurled. I think it’s more challenging but a lot of my must do’s are tier 2 anyway. HS is the only park I’m struggling with.
