It might be in here already, but one clarification on the two hour wait…

As soon as you tap at the gate you can purchase G+ for the day and make your first LL choice. The two hours is from that point, not two hours from official park opening. I think this is different than WDW.

Don’t feel rushed though, as not that many people are buying G+ at DLR. FWIW that’s based on my experience last week and could of course change during busier times. I bought G+ Sunday and Thursday.

That’s correct. I’ll re-read that part because I copied it over from my WDW thread and may have missed that nuance.

Here is the way I put it in the lead post, which I believe is accurate. Let me know if I missed an instance.

I caught this holiday price increase on local evening news on Phoenix Fox 10 affiliate:

WS and RSR prices had varied between $7 or $12, but now they are $18 each.
ROTR stays steady at $20.

I can’t believe it! $18 is way too much for one attraction. I barely can let it slide for RotR since it’s like 3 rides in one.

Ok so purchased park hoppers from UT for upcoming trip…

Was able to purchase Genie+ - with the tickets…

This seems to be contradictory to initial posts that it had to be purchased in the park - or did I misunderstand?

Also are guests staying on property at any of the 3 resorts given any Genie+ advantage or ILL advantage?

We will only have 2 days and it’s our first trip so trying to work it

When it first rolled out you could only buy at the parks, but it has been added as an option to tickets being purchased now. No advantage has been announced for on-site guests.

Thanks-

So many changes in just under a month my head is spinning trying to plan this one…

I will have a group of 7 or 8…does everyone need to be tapped in for me to start booking LLs for them? Or can I run down to the taps in the morning, tap in, and start booking/stacking for everyone in the group? Is that even a thing at DL? Or no, because the return times tend to be pretty close to immediate?

Everyone needs to be tapped in, unfortunately (unless I missed something). The nice thing is that DLR doesn’t run out of LL / ILL as quickly as WDW. In fact, yesterday only RotR ran out of availability amount DL attractions, at about 2pm.

There will probably be some stacking opportunities, but less common than at WDW.

Can I bring everyone’s (insert here whatever you use at DL to tap in, I have no idea!!) with me and tap them all in? Just go from one tap to another?

Not reliably, because they often check photos at the tapstiles. There may be some ticket types where it would be theoretically possible on some days, but I wouldn’t even try to be honest.

Generally a paper ticket, scan your phone, or a plastic AP card.

I don’t want to be keeping up with paper tickets if at all possible, but there will be 3 kids in our group without phones. How does that work? Man, I’m such a newb at DL!

You can scan or enter the ticket barcodes and keep them on your phone in the Disneyland app. It’s kind of like Magic Mobile. You can have multiple tickets (for yourself and others) in your ā€œwallet.ā€ So make sure you scan the correct one. (You can accidentally use the wrong admission if you’re not careful.)

It’s good to have the paper tickets available just in case, but I’m pretty sure everything you need a ticket for can be done electronically.

@Jeff_AZ No more physical magic keys. If you want a physical magic key you have to pay $15 and it is card stock, not plastic.

@kerrilux_625778 Each time I have gone since DL has reopened I have used a regular ticket and we have been given paper tickets for ā€œjust in caseā€ scenarios, which I have tucked in my wallet (pretty sure my November ticket is still in there) and not used it again. When I take my kids I hold all our tickets on my phone, call who is first and scan the in and send them through and repeat, then scan myself and join them. All our tickets remain in my wallet ā€œjust in case.ā€ It goes very quickly. The only one that takes a moment is the first time you scan in. They will be taking each of your photos and printing a paper ticket.

:scream:

Also worth noting that two people can have the same ticket electronically in their app. But rather than linking as friends and family, you just scan/enter the ticket into each person’s app and all plans made from either person’s account are linked to that admission.

I read the TP blog and it confused me because in one paragraph it said you could book your 2nd LL after 60 minutes but also after 2 hours (assuming you can’t use your existing one before that). Which is it? Thanks!
