The Lightning Lane Thread! All DLR Info Here

I am trying to put together a plan for DLR in Touring Plans. I know that Touring Plans will make suggestions on which LL to pick and when, but I think I can do a bit better using ThrillData info. When I try to put in custom LL times, I can enter the times, but they don’t save. I haven’t had any issues doing the analogous steps for WDW. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong or have any thoughts that might help? Thanks!

It could be a legit bug that you need to submit an IT ticket for. But a couple of things I recommend when creating a custom Touring Plan:

  1. Make sure this button is unchecked if you are going to manually enter your LL times. Leaving it unchecked will keep things cleaner. TP will only use the times you manually configure and won’t try to assign you a LL.

  1. Make sure Force Use of Inputted Lightning Lane Return Times is checked. This is under Advanced Options, which is a section at the bottom that you may have to expand.

  1. Configure your return times using the Additional Scheduled Return Times section below the Advanced Options.

Hope that works!

Thanks so much! I appreciate the suggestions, and everything else you do for the Liner community. I have shared your LL primers with multiple students and friends. Required reading for a succesful day in the parks.

I did not have number 1 unchecked so I tried that. I did have 2 and 3 correct. Still won’t save. I will contact IT.

Thanks again!

Anyone test the golden ticket recently?

It’s been a while since I’ve heard of anyone trying so if you have a chance, give it a try. But I believe the traditional Golden Ticket loophole is dead on both coasts.

I think @kateschmidt had luck in July. I’ll be there 10/13 so :crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers::crossed_fingers:.

Oh that’s right. I always assume there is some weird quirk (like there was something unique about the situation, not just Golden Ticket scenario) that made it work when it happens lately. But Disneyland is so seldom reported on around here that it is definitely worth trying. Please report back!

Sorry for the late reply. I never got the chance to try the Golden Ticket, so nothing to report there. I did use drops every day and they were super successful. I mostly just checked my phone at the 2’s and 7’s when I needed to book something new or modify.

Glad you were able to use the drops – hope you had a fabulous trip!

We did! It was just me and my boys (11 and 14), so a completely different vibe than I’m used to. We did a lot of Buzz, Webslingers, and TSM. DS14 killed us on Buzz, but I walked away as the big winner on the other two! Overall just really precious time with my sweet boys.
