The Disney Refugee's Farewell Tour

I’ve decided I’m going to do the rest of SeaWorld over in the thread I created before this trip asking others for tips. The topic / title is very “searchable” for others in the future. Then I can bookmark it and use it to refer others.

I’m going to copy & paste everything from here and then go forward…

When I complete it, I’ll link it in this thread so those interested can continue that day’s story…

I would like to know if anyone would be interested in a more detailed explanation of The Great Movie Escape experience? I can keep it as spoiler free or spoiler blurred — like this — as much as you want.

I do want to give my take on OIM now that I’m home and all the adrenaline is gone…

I’m going to go collect my thoughts because it’s not the “must-do” event it’s promoted to be and I want to be clear on what I liked, what I was critical of and if I’ll go back…

Before I forget, here’s my parade spot location on the USF map

The star is where all parades do their “finale” and then loop back to the start / end point of the parade

I need some input from all of you. What aspects / criteria would you consider when / if you buy a OIM tickets?

So far, I’ve come up with:

Value for price
Is it fun?
Customer Service
Maximizing $$$ versus “having fun”
Wait Times - Rides & Food

Can anyone add something? I feel like I’m forgetting something…

What was your total tally of park days and how many discrete trips?

I do have that and my expenses coming at the end…

403 (!) total rides in a year without even living in Florida. :trophy:

Wow! I hadn’t even counted… it that just rides or is that everything? Like 403 “attractions”?? Let me know before I feel compelled to count!

Isn’t it a spreadsheet? Put in a formula

Of course… I wasn’t gonna use my fingers!!

I just meant having to find the time to go do it

Yep, the total from your rides table. Very impressive, even with a disproportionate number of Dr. Doom’s to pad the numbers.

I love the fact that you kept a precise record of everything you did!

I’m a collector / obsessive personality! A lot of this AP Adventure was about “collecting” experiences so I could compare them with what I’ve heard and with others around here…

Completing CityWalk was a big factor in my impromptu addition of a 1.5 days to my last trip. I couldn’t figure out how to squeeze in Hard Rock & Pat O’ Brien’s. I justified the extra $$$ that way!!

I was going to do this later, but since @Jeff_AZ wants to know the numbers now…

Wow… I did spend more than $10K… I stopped counting / being so budget concious when both my wife & I both got end of the year bonuses we weren’t expecting and promotions. (Especially her!! Still proud! She’s finally getting in a rhythm in the new job… Thank goodness!!)

Wow that’s awesome! Well done. It’s amazing how varied the budgets are for each trip. Some of your shorter trips are cheaper than the longer ones depending on number of people, hotels, etc.

You definitely got your money’s worth! I could not have done it that well.

$3.44 per ride when including your personal AP, HHN, and OIM admissions. And along with that price came a ton of free entertainment and food.

Amazed at how well you planned, budgeted, and spent your time. That’s like a lifetime of UOR condensed into a year for just 14K.

Congrats on bonuses and promotions for both you and your wife also!!

Is that the Finnegan’s alley/ acapella group/Blues Brothers stage?

Wow. What a year. Congrats and thanks for taking us along with it. Meant a lot to me to see it all in action!
