The Disney Refugee Takes a Bride

I’m waiting for reviews of the Grinch breakfast - really just want to know the menu. I already purchased our tickets. This led me to look at available dates out of curiosity and and it is sold out pretty much most of the calendar, except Thanksgiving weekend and the week of Christmas. Wow! Get 'em while you can!

(Also, I started packing today! Mostly, cleaning out my bag from last time. However, I have packed the pants & such that I won’t wear at home now that it’s gotten cold. I’m looking forward to mid-70’s. I even packed my swim suit!)

This was posted in a different thread, but for anyone interested here is the character buffet menu:

The buffet will have a fruit display, scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits & gravy, and some mini croissants. Baked French toast, chicken & waffles, overnight oats bar.

Shakshuka is a Middle Eastern-style dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, olive oil, peppers, onion, and garlic.

Dessert-style options include “Treat for Max” cookies, green egg brownie pops, Grinch™ cookies, Grinch™ mousse cubes, red velvet hearts, and an assortment of mini muffins.

OMG! I didn’t know really where to put this “update”, but since it’s about me / Universal this is probably most appropriate. Anyway…

I just saw an ad on Hulu for the pilot I watched at the NBC Media Center back in April. It got made! I guess since it is going to air I can talk about it / the NDA is probably not enforced. It’s a show called “Lopez vs. Lopez”, starring…George Lopez!

I can already see they’ve used feedback as that wasn’t the original title. I can’t remember what it was before, but it was a social media pun. I don’t have access to NBC atm, but the next time I do I’ll check it out!

(Oh! Also… for those that listen to the Unofficial Universal Podcast I swear I did submit a “rate my Bao” recording. I admit it wasn’t a great as I rated the establishment as a whole and Lee kept e-mailing me back about individual item rankings. I offered to record it again to be more specific, but he declined. He indicted it would air at some point… Been kinda bugging me tbh! :man_shrugging:

I did the NBC media thing 3 years ago. I thought the concept for the new show I saw the preview on wasn’t great. That show only lasted one season. I did enjoy the gift cards we got though.

I should be eligible to do it again. I kept my eyes open in August & Sept., but it was closed each time! I got $40 last time, I’d love to get that again. I got a T-shirt and butterbeer with it!

Last week, listening to the podcast. They mentioned they are finally sharing a rate the bao. (It was many many weeks where they didn’t have any). I really thought it would be you, but nope. I figured they don’t want yours. :man_shrugging:

It kinda feels that way… Like I either goofed the homework assignment or maybe since I’m not in their “Producer’s Club” / Pateron it isn’t worth being aired. I’m not bitter or anything. I’ve actually been on other podcasts. It would’ve been nice for my daughter to hear herself though! No big deal!

I was joking with my wife tonight about extending our stay, which we aren’t, and that got me looking at hotel rooms again.

I managed to modify my room rate, same room / hotel. I saved $417! We’re really close to the one week cancellation date. I’m guessing that’s how it was available! :money_mouth_face:

That is very impressive. I’m happy with the rooms I have for my trips, but I also obsessively check to see if a room I’d love comes out at a rate I can pay.

For this reason, I always keep a link to the hotel rooms and flights for my trips, so i can easily check if the prices go down.

If my DW hadn’t insisted that it be the two room suite I could have gotten a standard room at Dockside for $77 / night! (I got the suite for $114 which is still really good!)

We are on our way!

The TSA was beyond packed! The queue wrapped down the main terminal…about 100 yards from the normal entry. They got us through in about 30 minutes.

We had to get up at 4:30am to leave home by 5am. So, of course, I was up at 3am!

DW has dated tickets that don’t start until tomorrow. We are going to CityWalk tonight. Let me know if anyone has any questions or needs CityWalk Christmas info
