The Disney Dish Thread

We’re a community outreach podcast that just happens to talk about theme parks.

This is how I felt when he made a reference to Elizabeth’s Pizza as being his standard for decent, cheap Italian. It is a small Italian chain in North Carolina - I spent many Friday nights between 1988 and 1992 hanging out in the Elizabeth’s parking lot in Eden NC. It is a core memory, so hard to explain why him mentioning it hit the way it did!

Disney have said it will remain open throughout 2025.

So a re-theme by March seems ambitious.

It will close in early 2026 and open in 2026, but we have no further confirmation than that. I would plan for it being closed essentially all of 2026 and be pleasantly surprised if it is open for any 2026 trip dates.

But, it’s mostly paint and a few set pieces. It’s (as least currently) a dark ride with fleeting glimpses of RnR story stuff. I don’t think it’s impossible. Especially since March has 31 days (and they would use every last one lol)

Since I’ve never ridden it, I’ll take your word for it! Is the queue not themed though?
I guess one question is whether they have to remove the ride vehicles first.

I have not been on in many years, but I think that the music theme is sticking around so they just really need to change the “band” that is showcased. I can’t picture any animatronics and I think the band is a screen.

The part of the queue that’s indoors is short. There’s a studio scene (which could be easily swapped out since it’s set items and a screen), and a garage scene in the loading area. I’ll grab a couple of photos to show you.

Aside from that you’re mostly in the dark once you’re on the ride

Can’t believe I don’t have more pics of the inside!

Here’s what I found quickly:

@Jeff_AZ a Golden Girls reference! (Boy do Jim’s stories go around and around.) The show was conceived because someone called Miami NICE!

Unclear if she said it thrice…

When I heard the episode title in context I wondered if they knew about the “thrice” thing.:rofl::rofl:

Haha I definitely do not think they did because that would have been too amazing for @len to leave alone!

It has to be up there with the Friends pivot as a top 10 classic sitcom rif.

Does someone have more info on the Epcot adjacent hotel that was strongly hinted at a few times?

I don’t, but I’m very intrigued! It seemed like they were either speculating based on a confluence of factors, or had inside knowledge and were careful not to say so. Probably a combo of both.
