Yesterday my New England born and bred husband called Peabody "Pea-body’ instead of “Peabiddy”. I was aghast

Ok the pronunciation stuff is fascinating and all but did anyone notice Len and Jim advising people to Uber to the wedding pavilion at GF?!? I didn’t know this was a thing.

Len actually said, “Uber to Poly or GF,” and then added, “in case you get turned away, which you probably won’t be, get dropped off at the wedding pavilion and [unintelligible]”.
I don’t know if things have changed but I thought the consensus was that Poly and GF will turn Ubers away without a reservation. I know that is true for Contemporary at least.

I think it has become more hit or miss. We ubered a couple of times when we were staying at the Poly and we were basically waved through. I usually had my magic band off to give to the guy to scan but I think the known Uber drivers they just let through. This was never at rope drop times though.
The WORST hassle I ever got in an Uber was when we did a split stay offsite/onsite and I tried to drop my bag a day early at the freaking All Star Movies! I got quite the 3rd degree from the attendant there since my name wasn’t on his check in list. Like who is sneaking into All Stars?

Sorry this is out of left field but I figure readers of this thread would be the most looped into current rumors. I’m looking at a very hypothetical 2-day trip to BCV the last weekend of May and wondering what the chances are that Stormalong Bay will still be under refurb. Any rumors on that front?

Very likely still under refurb. Rare for things to be done a month ahead of schedule and they’ve said “through June 2025”. I think they will push to get it ready for 7/4 but doubt it would be ready by Memorial Day. I personally wouldn’t risk it if the pool is a must have.

There are at least 7 different discounts running for essentially the same timeframe. We haven’t seen this since pre-Covid (if even then). If you’re paying rack rate for a room or tickets, you’re not trying at all.
