I think they were implying that he had too much botox before the shoot
Oh yes, and then comparing that with the M:S Green actress who can communicate with her eyebrows and forehead alone. Makes sense.
I don’t know why but Len’s joke about investing in stocks and becoming a bullionnairre at the beginning really had me in stitches.
I love a good pun.
Gina Torres is an amazing, yet underrated actress.
Gary Sinise is truly a special person and what he does every Christmas at WDW is great

I loved this joke. I told it to my daughter and she thought it was amazing as well.
The rumor - and let me say it’s all alleged stuff - is that Mr. Sinese got a Botox injection shortly before filming this intro to the ride.
The effect is that during the film, when Mr. Sinese is supposed to be saying the most exciting parts of the script, his eyebrows and forehead barely move. If you know the story, you end up just staring at the top of Gary’s head the entire time, looking for signs of life.
allegedly
Worthy of the “Dish” moniker.
Well I know what I’ll be doing next Friday. And I was going to skip MS this trip. Now it is unskippable.
Random question:
Every week I hear @len encourage folks to reach out to Storybook Destinations for their vacation planning needs.
It always strikes me as odd, particularly as TP has their own travel advisors now.
Companies certainly can support who they want - and I am not at all questioning that - but it would be like me telling someone to contact a TP advisor and it leaves me scratching my head.
Any insight on this?
Wasn’t part of the story that the narrator changed? I rarely ride MS so I don’t remember who the narrator is.
I have had similar thoughts. I assume it’s just because they’ve been supporting the podcast for so long (before TP started doing TA stuff) that they are sticking with them as a sponsor as a courtesy. I’m sure they’re still friendly with each other.
Also it’s a nice way to hedge by having advertising income from a different agency rather than putting all eggs in one basket with the TP agency.
Oh, maybe! I thought in only changed on green, not orange. It is very likely I am confused.
Oh that might be. I honestly don’t know. I should look it up…
Being of the age that I do not ride MS any longer (so it does not ruin the rest of my day), I would not know either.
Wikipedia, the source of all knowledge and truth:
Actor Gary Sinise, who starred in the space film Mission to Mars , portrayed Capcom from the attraction’s opening day until 2017, after which, actress Gina Torres, replaced him in the role.[6]
P.S. I did Mission Space Green in May 2021 and do not remember Capcom or any preshow, other than the instructions, which was just a voice. But I was a little distracted with trying not to vomit, so admittedly I’m not the best person to ask. ![]()
I assumed it was similar to the Unofficial Guide? Len wasn’t referencing the agency in the guide.
Touring Plans travel does sponsor other podcast. I know they recently started sponsoring Rope Drop Radio. I know Main Street Dining is always referencing touring plans. Do they sponsor them too?
I watched it on YouTube instead (I so vividly remember Gary Sinise doing it that I don’t at all remember Gina Torres…and I’ve definitely ridden it since 2017).
As someone who recently rode both green and orange, I can report there is no Gary Sinise. It’s the same folks on both preshows.
