Starting at 7-8 yrs old, I got everyone a small inexpensive waist pack - it’s amazing what they no longer need/want when they are the ones carrying it. I carry sunscreen, a collapsible cup/water bottle, meds & bandaids in mine to share. Other than that, each is on their own.
I’m just too empathetic/cheap. In making them carry whatever souvenirs they buy, the risk is high they’ll set the bag down somewhere and forget it. Which means I end up carrying it or micro monitoring them. Or feeling bad when it goes missing. It’s absolutely worth it to me to have a backpack to toss it all in.
And DH is a sucker for souvenir requests.
You can send souvenirs to the Universal Store in city walk so you don’t have to carry them the rest of the day.
If you’re using UOR’s child swap, do the bags have to stay on the stroller/in a locker? Or is a non-rider permitted to hold them in the child swap room?
I’ve seen a couple with a backpack and one went to the child swap room with the infant in a carrier.
I don’t know what the official policy is.
Nonrider can keep bags.
