Any thoughts on if the day time parade would still run once the night parade starts? Especially during MNSSHP/MVMCP seasons?
I don’t know the parades well enough to know how that worked in the past.

I think it will. That’s the way it happened in the past. There’s always a daytime parade, once they got over the Covid cavalcades, even on MNSSHP/MVMCP days.
I get the message that it can’t be added to my plans for 8/13. I wonder if the softward just isn’t capturing it yet, or if it will only be certain nights of the week.
My guess is you won’t be able to add it until TP knows what time it will run.
It’s not even in Disney’s calendar yet. If you click on a date it says no times available. I don’t know why they can’t release the times.
When I saw the conceptual art for this parade, it immediately reminded me of Tokyo Disney’s Dream Lights I saw last December. Maybe WDW borrowed some of the float ideas. Just a few pictures.
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing!!!
Just changed my dates too; looks like 7/21 is my chance too!
Woohoo!
Now we just need the times!
I’ll be solo and I’m pretty much cool with getting a snack and beverage and reading my book for a couple hours if that’s the only way to get a good spot. I’d never have the patience for that with the family (or they wouldn’t) but that’s the beauty of solo tripping!
Looks like will run at 9pm and 11pm!
And it will start in Main Street, ending in Frontierland. Not surprising.
Can’t tell you how this is messing with my head. While I understand the concept i just can’t wrap my brain around it.
“This reverse route is designed to improve guest flow, particularly after the evening’s fireworks and second parade performance.” I guess this also gives a big, showy “Wow!” to the start of the parade, as opposed to the gradual arrival if it had started in Frontierland. Yeah, it’s sure different! I think that’s how MSEP used to run, but that was about 10 years ago when I saw it, and I don’t remember all those details.
Yup!
I thought MSEP would do one one way and the second the reverse?
I don’t personally remember. But in WDW, parades can make the full loop and do the same direction multiple times. At DL, parades are deadends on both ends, so they go one direction then they do the reverse for the second showing.
The socials are saying soft open tonight!!

I watched it on YouTube last night and thought it was great! Obviously it wouldn’t be fair to do a full review since I haven’t watched it in person. But the floats are certainly beautiful.
Also I think I shared this elsewhere, but We Call it Imagineering (Disney produced YouTube series) had a cool preview of the parade and what went into its design:
