Big news! Kind of surprising.
I hope they do the same for GotG! I like the VQ in some ways but it would be nice to be able to ride multiple times if I feel like it. Also I suspect this will help even out demand and crowds.
Agreed!
I’m out of touch with the lingo. Is this like the Individual Lightning Lane of old?
There is actually already SP in place, but that is good to have confirmed that it will continue.
Yes, LLSP is the equivalent of ILL.
The thing is that at certain times of day you’re waiting 40 minutes anyway so it makes more sense to remove the VQ and just let it settle out into a pattern folks can plan with
I’m shocked that they wouldn’t remove it for GOTG first, unless part of the reason is that there is a VQ for TBA, too.
Two other impacts. The big one, to me, is how it will affect RD behavior. Currently, it’s pretty obvious that 7DMT is the biggest RD target at MK. With this change, how many of those people will shift to Tron? My guess is that due to the height restriction, 7DMT will still garner a lot of people, but Tron will definitely take some of those away.
The other question is how will this change behavior on the EEH nights for Deluxe guests. There used to be that 6 pm VQ, but how many people will try to ride Tron more than once on those nights.
This is all very interesting to me since I’ll be there 9/7 through 9/12.
I guess you’ll be our guinea pigs! Be sure to report back how it goes!
I’m not. GotG has become the favorite ride on Disney property. And with the multiple.aomgs, the demand hasn’t died down a lot.
Tron is more of a one and done kind of ride, so demand has lessened I think.
Is this an executable file extension?
This is what I get for posting so much on my phone!
I disagree, but I think the songs and lower height requirement make GotG more re-ridable, so it comes to the same end.
not for everyone!!
We rode Tron twice…once by VQ, once with LL. Not likely to do it again. The ride is too short for the wait time/cost.
GotG we have ridden many more times, and continue to be willing to pay for it! We have talked with others who feel the same of Tron versus GotH. There is just no comparison.
I didn’t mean to imply it was for everyone. Hence the word “more” in there. I think it doesn’t have the same re-rideability at all. Sure, some will want to. Many even. But to the same degree as Guardians? Not even close.
The more I ride Tron, the more I like it. And it doesn’t feel as short as the first time I rode it. You should try riding in the front row if you haven’t.
