Specific LLMP day-of question

I’m trying to determine the time I can get a “next” LLMP in this scenario. I’ve looked at it for so long that I need to be sure of what I’m thinking.

At the 7-day mark I make 3 advance LLMP reservations:

  • Mansion for 9:00 am, expires 10:00 am
  • Buzz for 9:55 am, expires 10:55 am
  • Jungle Cruise for 1:20 pm, expires 2:20 pm

I enter the park. Yay!

I use my Buzz LL at 10:12 am

==> I know I can get another LLMP at 10:12 am

I get a Speedway LL at 10:36 am for 12:15 pm

==> The “next LLMP time” is now the earlier of my soonest LLMP expiration time or my next LLMP use

I use my Mansion LL at 11:19 am

==> The “next LLMP time” is now 11:19 am

My Speedway LL one-hour time window expires at 1:15 pm without me using it (I will later using the grace period). My “next LLMP time” is still “now”, because I could’ve made one at any point after 11:19 am.

I use my Jungle Cruise LL at 1:20 pm. My “next LLMP time” is still “now”

==> At this point I have 0 remaining in-advance LLMPs and 1 expired LLMP. I’ve used several LLMPs today.

I get an IASW LL at 1:36 pm

Here’s the question: What’s my “next LLMP time” after I get the IASW LL, and why?

I’m hung up on this part. Couldn’t you get another one at 10:00am since Mansion expired then? Even though you used it at 11:19am?

Still “now” because you are only holding one active LL (iasw) so you still have two open positions in your quiver of three.

My understanding is no because I’ve not yet used any LLMPs in the park. (Disney wants to make sure I’m there before allocating more ride capacity to me.)

Oh! Actually I think you can get a new one but it has to be the same park / tier. You have not unlocked tiers. I’m pretty sure we’ve had people test this “zombie” strategy to arrive at a park with six or more LLs (three expired, three unused). But still only one Tier 1 and all in the same park.

Tagging in @JoQuo711 and @Jmarkey86 who may be able to confirm my understanding.

Yes, let’s assume I’m staying in the MK.

I agree there are two open slots, man’s I don’t understand why you would keep two open. Also, did the tiers open when Buzz was used?

There are no tier 1s in this example?

Yes looks like that was the first one used.

So tier one attractions should show up as booked? Filling the empty slots?

It means he could book all tier 1s if he wanted starting at 10:12am. But in the example he didn’t for whatever reason.

It’s a user’s touring plan and that’s what they selected. I didn’t think of it at the time but the optimizer handles that part correctly at least.

And thanks for the help everyone!

@len, with no tier 1s, do they need LLs?

Also, if the optimizer is coming up short on LLs, is it missing something?

Ah, there is one Tier 1 later for Space Mountain. I hadn’t yet got to that point in the plan - it’s 30 attractions and I’m currently through 16 of them.

It’s what I’m trying to adjust now. We’re being too conservative, I think.

Yes, the optimizer should always have three.

@len, the optimizer does not have rules about drops? When I look at what is booked I would assume Tianna or BTMRR would have popped up by then. Most liners would just grab them along the way but a new/newer user would miss that.

Look at me… I got tagged!!! By @Jeff_AZ no less. I believe I follow Len’s plan and if so, I agree with Jeff’s understanding. I may be a little rusty (since we didn’t do a 2026 trip), but when we went in August 2025, I believe we used the “Zombie” strategy a few times. It would usually be for the afternoon/evening after a break from the morning park we visited. Depending upon your overlap, you could go in with at least 5. I still get nervous about 119 minutes because every so often someone tells a story about getting a blue light. I typically wouldn’t use a Zombie strategy in the morning.

I think it works well with an evening in Magic Kingdom, but I think it works best in Hollywood Studios. We’ve used the heck out of the 1:17PM and 3:47PM HS drops. It can set you up so well!

In this scenario, you had at least one open LL the entire day after Haunted Mansion expired (oops!). And after booking iasw, your available time is still “now,” and you have two spots available to book.

Here’s the rundown to clarify (sorry about formatting)

1A Haunted Mansion 9-10

2A Buzz 9:55-10:55

3A JC 1:20-2:20

[Held: 1A, 2A, 3A; Open: None]

10:01 - 1A expires, 1B bookable (MK tier 2 locked)

[Held: 1A-X, 2A, 3A; Open: 1B]

10:12 - 2A used, 2B bookable, tiers/parks unlocked

[Held: 1A-X, 3A; Open: 1B, 2B]

10:36 - 1B booked for speedway 12:15-1:15

[Held: 1A-X, 1B, 3A; Open: 2B]

11:19 - 1A-X used

[Held: 1B, 3A; Open: 2B]

1:16 - 1B expires, 1C bookable

[Held: 1B-X, 3A; Open: 1C, 2B]

1:20 - 3A used, 3B bookable

[Held: 1B-X; Open: 1C, 2B, 3B]

1:36 - 1C booked for iasw 1:40-2:40

[Held: 1B-X, 1C; Open: 2B, 3B]

Yes, @len,chat agrees. When number 1 expires, you can book another but it must be the same tier since tiers are not unlocked.

Thank you!

Has this rule changed? We’ve tried adding a LLMP after the first one expires and I think we were blocked.
