Spaceship Earth Narrator Wishlist

Since I haven’t seen any info on the new narrator for SE (and please let me know if I missed it), I thought it would be interesting see who everyone thought would be a good choice. Since I’m not getting Walter Conkite back we’ll need to find someone new.

I’ll go ahead and start off with Idris Elba.

James Earl Jones. When I was at University of Michigan, the students sent around a petition to make him the voice of our phone class registration system (it was the 90s). That didn’t happen, but he does the intro to the football games in the Big House now (he’s an alumnus).

Incorrect. Gandalf is an agent of the French revolutionary government trying to catch the wily Scarlet Pimpernel.

You know, Patrick Stewart wouldn’t be a bad choice either.

Speaking of Michigan, actually Tim Allen has a nice speaking/narrator voice. (He does the commercials for Pure Michigan, for example.)

Gina Torres

Since he is a fellow Detroit Lions fan, I will allow this.

Fine. To prove I’m not sexist on this matter: A.J. from DFB Guide.

Bring back Ellen!
Or how about Neil deGrasse Tyson?

I was just going to post Neil deGrasse Tyson!

Phylicia Rashad would be good if she is allowed time away from running the Dino Institute.

I enjoyed Angela Bassett narrating The Imagineering Story, she has a great voice for narrating.

Angela Landsbury.

Or, even better.

Julie Andrews.

I wouldn’t mind Neil Patrick Harris, perhaps with Oprah?
