Should I also request the room in the Disney website online checkin? Or should I not check in online? Thanks!

If you are using the Touring Plans room request feature, the best advice is not to select anything when checking in on-line. Those options will over-write what the TP email says.
But you can still do on-line check-in, just leave the drop box alone.
