I can’t resist adding two more. Splash Mountain was my older daughter’s favorite ride (then age six). Here we are completely soaked to the bone. We hope to go back to Splash Mountain one final time this December before Disney rebrands it. I’m sure she’ll still like it afterwards, but there’s something truly magical about it being the same ride my husband and I remember as children.
Where was this taken? Looks like a lot of fun!
It’s the archery experience at Fort Wilderness. It was son’s choice. Daughter chose horseback riding. We did both for them. I surprisingly preferred the shooting.
I’ve never stayed there but we spent the afternoon there and I desperately want to now. It’s so peaceful and such a nice respite from the parks.
I pulled a couple that were easy to find. I expect I will post again w/ more once I find them.
Disney California Adventure - 2017
Pop Food Court - 2016
My daughter covets that popcorn bucket! What a great picture!
These 2 have always been my very favorite. They are from a “do over” trip in 2017 after a pretty disastrous trip in 2015. I love them because they both highlight some of my favorite theming at WDW and shows the change in us as a family, we went into the second trip with a much more playful attitude.
But looking through my photos, I found this one from that first trip, I have never seen it. Good reminder that we sometimes forget the nice moments in the face of the tough.
What kind of example are you setting? Luckily one of your sons made the appropriate choice of cargo shorts!
TY! We had to get that bucket when we saw it! She ended up eating that whole donut, no idea where she put it
Disney is entirely bag friendly, so the reliance on cargo shorts is much less important. Not shown in the picture is the backpack we were carrying around instead. (Although, my DIL has one in the photo.)
I should point out my DW has cargo pockets!
But if it makes you feel better, here is from another day of the same trip. As you can see, I have cargo pockets…but I’m using a backpack!
It does. Thank you
This photo from 2013. DD was 21/2 at the time and didn’t want to pose pulling the sword out from the stone like I was asking her too. So I snap the photo anyway with her unhappy face. I love it now and we try to re-create it each time we go back
My parents came with us on our last trip, I love this pic because it’s so natural - our photographer had us in stitches laughing.
Cool t-shirts all round!!
That is excellent!
This is from my first trip to WDW in 2017. It just came up as a Facebook memory. I was laughing because Sadness had picked up on my energy and couldn’t cope with the sadness. Joy was oblivious.
Looking at these photos with characters, do you think the CMs really understand the joy they give? And the memories they make that last potentially for a lifetime? And that they do this many times a day.
I wonder if Chapek gets it.
The CMs? Yes. Chapek? Maybe, but it’s not quantifiable in dollars so not high on the list of must haves.
Thanks @Shmebulock and @LTinNC82!
