so in Poly you fly, but in AKL you walk? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

But yea, the walking distance is no longer than from the other corner of Poly, I checked this too when the Tower plans came out

Except for the current bus stop which is further down from the tower

Until it’s relocated more centrally, to be complete in 2026

I think they wanted to balance the points with the existing studios/bungalows. They made the rooms different categories so they could continue with the point shrinkflation though!

How does this work?

I mean the 15 point studios at OKW and the Boardwalk versus 25+ at Poly, GFV and the Riviera!

As someone who is not a current DVC owner, I have no idea what you guys are talking about…

Disney has been dramatically increasing the number of points required to book rooms at new resorts. So even as price per point goes up, the number of points needed is more too.

Poly studios always required more points, but they are huge and have two bathrooms. The new towee studios sleep 4 and are the same number of points, or more for better views.

Yep - the whole month of september you can get an OKW studio for 9 points Sun-Thurs!

Wow, I just looked at the points chart. I see what you mean!

I am doing a split stay in two weeks with 4 nights BWV and 4 nights at the Poly, both studios, same week, same weeknight/weekends and it’s 62 points for BWV and 91 points for the Poly, basically 50% more!

You can get a 2BR in low season for the same points cost as a studio at Poly

Wow Poly really varies by season. That is a huge difference!

Its why I’ll hang onto ny baby BCV contract a my AKL. Those points go so much further! Especially when you look at how crazy point heavy the Poly rooms with views are!

For those that have sold points to David (or others) - is there much risk in not being able to sell a large amount of points? I’m running various scenarios for buying poly contract and wondering how hard it would be to sell 150 points in a year if we needed to do that.

You mean rent out, right? Or do you mean selling a whole contract?

If you mean rent, while I haven’t done it myself, you are virtually guaranteed to be able to rent them out through one of the brokers as long as you give them sufficient notice before they expire. They can always find someone to line you up with. You may not get as good of a rate if they aren’t booking at Poly for +7 months.

yes, rent out, sorry

Follow up question - how does that work for tax/accounting purposes?
