GOTG - New fav rode for first time this trip 2x, just so great.
Everest - Great design, backwards run never gets old.
BTMRR - As I said recently in another thread, I think my whole family comments we forget how much we love that coaster after riding it. Excellent length, lots of good speed on the curves, theming - plus you can do multiple almost walk-ons at end of day, parties, etc and it is a different feel altogether at night.
Extra points because DW loves it too - she’ll only go on that and randomly SM out of the coasters. (Well Goofy too, but we just don’t go on it now with older kids. And my knees can’t take it.)
SM was my first coaster ever (in 1976!) and I do love it.
Slinky was a ton of fun, Tron’s speed and ride was excellent.
But the others just top them.
7DMT is fun, but less of a coaster than a “ride” to me.
I love EE, GotG and Slinky but in all of those at least one family member opts to sit out (or tries to. Slinky is usually a one and done for DS who gets sick on it but he tries it most trips)
GotG - Music, backwards, launching, visual graphics and humor, unique
Tron - Love a good motorcycle rollercoaster. That position makes it feel faster and at night it’s beautiful (I’m having to base this on the Shanghai edition until December so I may change my mind then)
Rock 'n Roller Coaster - launch, good music and in the dark, faster and more thrilling than some of the others at WDW.
I want to vote but can only choose 2. The others I either haven’t ridden because I’m a coaster wimp, or I have ridden and won’t ride again - refer to previous comment.
So it won’t accept my vote. I would have voted for Big Thunder and 7 dwarfs which I love.
Trouble is, allowing a variable vote where some only vote for 1 or 2 also skews the votes. So I figured I would force people to choose three. Next round, if current voting trends persist, will only allow a single vote, though.
Part of the reason I voted for BTMRR is for being visually stunning. If I were ranking all of the coasters, how SDD LOOKS (or perhaps better stated, the theming in general) also plays a role in where I would rank it, since as a ride EXPERIENCE I wouldn’t otherwise put it up too high.
Yeah. I actually had intended to do that…but people started voting before I realized I didn’t have the settings right, so I didn’t want to lose their votes.
Also, as Pollmaster @Jeff_AZ has said many times, just throw in an Other option, so people can select that if they don’t want to vote but do want to be able to see the results without hitting Show Results every time.
Now, now. I’ve made plenty of polls here. But then you sort of earned the title of pollmaster, and so I mostly stopped making polls to not step on any toes.
But…last night I was just inspired to make this particular poll for some reason!
