Requested room 9514, got room 9520, so pretty close. We checked in in person and asked about our request. She said it was noted as Building 9, 5th floor.
The room had a nice view of the courtyard pool.

Result: 7806 - We got upgraded to a 1-bedroom!
This was an amazing surprise for us! I did online check in as we were pulling into AKL and then I immediately got the room-ready text at 10am! We were just planning to drop luggage but brought it up and saw the kitchen when we walked in. We were only there for 2 nights so I guess they may have seen my request and this room was available. High remarks!

We got building 3 and 2nd floor so I’d call that a success! We were happy with this room; it’s an interior corner room next to the stairs/elevators but we couldn’t hear any elevator noise. Very convenient to use the stairs and then the elevator was right there when we needed to move our luggage.

It was not clear to from my DVC Rental Store booking whether a value studio had a specific category of view (I could see from the drop down on the TP room finder that there was a choice between resort/pool/savannah view for value studios - but my booking had no reference to any of these). There are only 18 value studios according to the room finder, 8 out of which have a savannah view, so naturally I requested room numbers that had a savannah view!
I did not get one. But I did get a room on the Ostrich Trail.
This ended up being totally fine, as due to a long flight delay I only managed to check into the resort just before midnight, and left again at 6.30am to rope drop AK. The room had a small balcony overlooking the parking lot, here a couple of photos.
