Paypal Cash Back on Disney Gift Cards

Good information. Are you able to use GCs to pay for dining or must that all be done through the app now?

You can pay at meals with a gift card the same way you would pay with a credit card.

Yes and no. You can add a gift card into MDE for individual purchases each time. So, for example, you can pay for a Mobile Order using a gift card inside MDE, but you have to enter the information each and every time.

That’s so annoying I kind of forgot about it, thanks!

Nice price! I was at least glad to stack the regular BJs 4% with the Discover card. A little savings off an AP is always good.

As a step to help this annoyance, I typically use 1 gift card for mobile purchases, etc. Keep a couple hundred bucks, max on it.

I keep the number written on a note in my phone, then just copy and paste when I need it.

Still annoying, but 1 degree less so…

I also called ahead and prepaid my room-only reservation with gift cards, so I didn’t have to worry about that threshold. I waited about 3 minutes on the phone to talk to someone and all was done in about 10 minutes. It was about the same time as going to the front desk.

I held onto the gift cards just in case I had to cancel and needed a refund.

That’s always a good practice many of us forget to do.

I just got a Paypal notice that my pajama pants order processed, but the gift card order did not.

Details: two seperate orders. Gift card was e-card 100th anniversary

You guys. I have to share this.

Back story. I purchased gift cards a while back when it was 12% cash back. Of course, it never came through. Last I heard, the transaction “wasn’t settled yet”. They issued me courtesy 600 points because of the inconvenience and issues.

About a week ago I messaged them as a follow up, when I’m getting my 6000 points.

Yesterday I get a phone call from PayPal. You heard me right, a real person. The woman called to tell me that they already issued my points for the $500 purchase. I told her, no that 600 points was courtesy points, nothing to do with a purchase. She goes on to explain how they calculate the points. "500 times 12% (60), times 100 equals 600 points. I said, "60 times 100 is 600? “Yes sir”. I asked her to please check her calculation. Then I get, “Oh I’m sorry sir you’re right, it is 6000.” Without hesitation, the next thing she says is “you’ll have to contact the vendor”

You can’t make this stuff up. Still no $60. Just that $6 courtesy.
