They wanted me to sue for $500K and settle for $200K. However, I’d have to look for a new job while having a bad leg.
I took the 2 years of salary (paid lawyers about 40%. However, the company insurance tried to pay only $2,500 before I got a lawyer)
I have made more than $200K by staying where I am over the last 5 years at this boring job. In the long run, it has been the better deal.
My leg is “fine”. When strangers meet me they can’t tell. I don’t make a big deal about it (anymore)
