The last few months have been hard for various reasons and I’m struggling to find joy in life. I’ve been throwing this idea around for a while and I think I want to go to as many six flags /cedar fair parks that I can this summer.
A few weeks back I snagged 39$ fairs to charlotte North Carolina with the idea of going to carrowinds over two days.
Today, I decided to visit six flags great adventures on the way to visit family for the weekend. So we packed up in two and a half hours and I booked a hotel about 20 minutes from the park. If I can go to the other parks I’ll upgrade my pass to the all parks passport and see how far I can go.
Sorry for ramble and I’ll probably edit this when I’m at a computer but I hope I have a great trip tomorrow and if I get to the other parks I’ll go there.

I like the way you think!
I’m sorry to hear that.
Enjoy your trip. Keep us posted, if you can.
I will. We hit some traffic so we haven’t reached our hotel yet. I’ll update in the morning before I head out.

We got to the hotel just before 11:00pm. Checkin was quick and we are ready to crash. My alarm is set for 7:30. That gives me two hours of prep time before I want to head out.

I woke up way too early this morning and lazed around it bed for a bit. The hotel has breakfast but many things didn’t have packaging so I couldn’t check if it was kosher. The milk I could check so I’m having cereal for breakfast. I had an apple earlier and I’m going to grab and apple and banana later for more.
I did pack my favorite of the new pairs of socks I got recently. I love wearing colorful socks even if I’m the only one who knows.

Me too. It’s miserable and drippy outside so I hope crowds will be low.

First round of sunscreen applied. In my zippered pockets I have my phone, more sunscreen, an empty water bottle, and an anker that holds two charges and a cable.

We got the park. Dh missed the turn off for guest drop off but but have parking with my pass so he dropped me off as close to the entrance as he could.
I had no issues with security. People with bags were directed to x ray machine but full pockets are fine.

Now I’m 5 feet 4 inches and I weigh about 250 pounds. I don’t know what I’ll be able ride. At Hersheypark I only had a problem with two rides. But I’ve lost about 18 pounds since then and I’ve started working with a personal trainer so I hope I have a bit more muscle than before. I wear a lands end x large right now
I’ll be giving the test seats a try before riding anything.

That’s Six Flags security for ya! I had a similar experience at Knott’s.
You can sneak in whatever you want!

Wonder Woman lassos of truth 15 minute wait.
Walking on to Batman. The test seat at Batman had water on it so I didn’t try it. It was a tight fit but I got it with the help of the attendant.
After Batman nitro was a walk on. I got the second row. Only row one had a wait. The test seat on nitro was broken but I decided to just give it a shot.
Jersey devil was next. Here you couldn’t have anything in your pockets but they also didn’t provide free lockers. I was debating whether to pay for a locker but I decided two dollars was with the coaster credit.
First ride was a seven minute wait. I was a single riser so I got the skip a train or two and ride in the last seat. Second ride was eleven minute wait and I got to ride the last seat again the restraint fully locks at the station. It won’t click in further like some rides do. Also this ride has chest restraints kind of like a seat belt but it didn’t lock or even restrain. The flash coaster had thick foam restraints which was nice to help feel like I wasn’t flying around.

After Jersey devil I took a break to write the last post. I was getting a bit tired and the nausea didn’t seem to be abating easily. Once done I decided to head towards El Toro. I called DH and we decided on a time for me to be picked up (he was visiting friends in the area) and then I headed to the log flume. Damp clothes would feel nice.
The log flume was shaky on the lifts. I was placed with three teenage boys who really wanted to get wet. They were happy with the level of wet they got.
At el toro I tried the test seat. The red light turned off but I couldn’t see the green light. I decided to give it a try because waits were low. El toro had free lockers so I put my sweatshirt in there and went in.
I did get the seatbelt closed but the ride attendant pushed the lap bar a bit more. I was expecting the ride to be as smooth as I remembered. It was ROUGH. Really shaky and I never want to ride it again.
Last ride of the day was Superman. I tried the test seat and even though there were no indicators I felt confident I could try it. I did and had no issues. The load time takes a while so when the ride was done we were hanging (literally) for a few minutes.
I grabbed an ice cream at the gift shop and asked how to activate my photo pass. I got that activated and then looked for a massive tweety to take a picture with for @darkmite2 but I didn’t see anything.
I headed out of the park and got on the shuttle to take me to guest pick up and drop off to meet DH. We got takeout at a kosher place about twenty minutes away and now we’re headed up the New Jersey turnpike once more.

It pretty much did. Next time I’m going to pack a few granola bars in my pocket so I have something to eat during the day. I should also hydrate better and now that I know what they’ll allow on ride platforms I’ll take my regular water bottle.
Last time I was at six flags they didn’t allow you to leave your bag on the platform. Instead you had to pay for a locker and I didn’t want to pay for a locker for each ride so I brought one of those 500ml disposable water bottles that you can crunch small and put in a packet.
The sweatshirt I was had zippered pockets so if they had a no loose objects policy with no free lockers and nothing on the platforms I wouldn’t have to pay for anything.
When prepping for the day I put my license and one credit card into mg UOAP lanyard so I didn’t have to worry about a Wallet.
