The trailer mostly left me confused about what they want this movie to be. I hope I’m ultimately wrong, but the initial vibe I get is that this could’ve been another season of Mando instead of a movie.
I started rewatching Andor S2. I thought about starting from S1 but I rewatched it just before S2 came out, so too soon 
I’m glad Tony Gilroy got his Emmy for the writing, but it would’ve deserved so much more. There are so many award worthy support characters.
I’m actually hoping it is basically a season of Mando, but a more intimate buddy adventure like seasons 1 and 2, while having a slightly more grand scale. i.e., Better effects / action, but not like a galaxy-wide conflict like the Skywalker saga has been.
That gave me whiplash.

I watched the first two episodes of Star Wars: Maul - Shadow Lord. They premiered today on D+. There are two new episodes each week for a total of 10 episodes, ending on May 4th (how appropriate). These take place about 18 or 17 BBY, so just a couple years after Order 66. Maul is trying to rebuild his crime syndicate and find a new apprentice. This is an animated series. Sam Witwer does the voice for Maul, as he has in many other Star Wars animated shows.
Maybe this series also helps get people interested again in the Star Wars universe, just in time for the Mando and Grogu movie!
I’m excited to check out the first couple of episodes, hopefully tonight!
