Is it okay to talk without marking spoilers?
Welcome to the Rebellion! ![]()
I loved Andor! Discussion welcome. You should probably blur big spoilers at least ![]()
Like DEATHS?!
Am I supposed to feel bad for Luthen?! After he just shot the poor imperial spy guy who just wanted safety for his wife and daughter (though perhaps Luthen did save his wife and daughter by offing him). Nope, I don’t feel bad. See ya never, Saw Gerrera type 2.
But to rewind, the whole entire wedding scene went over my head. I had no idea what happened with Tay Kolma until Mon Mothma accused Luthen of the capacity to have her killed next- and I looked it up. The political talk was so double handed and weighted and I could not follow. There were elements of that in the first season too.
Cyril is such a deliciously complex character. What a joy, but Kleya truly stole my heart. I delight in every scene with her. How I wish she was a primary character! She should be on Jyn Erso/Rey level. We still have two episodes left, but everything including and since the Ghorman massacre has been so great. It was a bit slow on the build up to that.
And the Mon Mothma dance scene was a top 10 scene for me across the Star Wars universe, I think.
YES!!! I loved this scene. Actually I think I liked the Mon Mothma arc most of all. Especially the speech, etc.
I get what you’re saying. The morality in this story is intentionally very gray. I think the rebellion is finding its heart. It leaves behind the Saw / Luthen approach. That said, I think Luthen was a necessary step to get there. He did the dirty work so the Rebellion could be born.
But at the end when you get to Rogue One, it’s all the more fulfilling to see the Family that the Rebellion is becoming, the one that welcomed Luke in A New Hope.
Yeah the story is tricky to follow on the first pass. A lot of dialogue does heavy lifting for off-screen action that is implied. But most of that is not vital to following the key character arcs, IMO. Just enhances it for those who do the research or listen carefully.
We watched with close captioning on, which really helped to catch what was being said, and to understand which name or place were mentioned. To me, seeing these unusual names in print really helped me know which name and to remember the name. I’m a visual learner.
Plus I read the episode summaries in Wikipedia after watching an episode, to make sure I caught the plot points.
Closed captioning is permanently on aaaand I still couldn’t follow ![]()
@Jeff_AZ I agree that Luthen’s methods were necessary and he had a huge, amazing role to play in creating the rebellion we know and love! I was still totally fine with his death
it was also awesome how that whole episode played out with his encounter with Dedra at his store

We were spoiled with so many good characters in this show.
I’m still working my slow way through Andor so I have to catch up with previous posts here later, but this made me laugh.

so funny.
I’m glad I hid the spoilers! I thought for sure I was the last one going through the show ![]()
My spoiler free review of season 2…. Our summer has been so busy so we just now finished Andor season 2. What an incredible season! I wondered if they would be able to keep it at the same level as season 1 and it was better than I could have thought. It was truly chefs kiss perfection for me! My favorite scene was Mon Mothma’s speech. It gave me goosebumps. DS18 said he was ready to join the rebellion afterwards!
We are planning to watch Rogue One tomorrow and I am excited to continue to follow the stories of the characters who were defined more clearly in Andor.

One of my favorite moments in all of Star Wars. Honestly it is the type of thing that has hung in the back of my mind as I have watched Star Wars for years, even before Rebels and Andor and all of that – that the Rebellion had to be kickstarted by some brave individuals who were willing to stand up against tyranny.
It’s so politically appropriate right now too. After Rogue One, I may rewatch all of Andor again to pick up on some more of the subtle parts of the storyline.
Looks fantastic ![]()
I love this poster so much. I need it for my bedroom. ![]()
