Quick service ![]()
Thank you for posting this! Although I will forever miss JellyRolls at this location, I am looking forward to another over 21 venue.
I think that this is a great compromise too! My family would definitely do the daytime activities and then DH and I would like the bar.
My DIL loves trivia so I am sure we will be try I g out the day time things too, as long as we are not taking space away from children.
Quick service at Boardwalk is sorely needed!
Pizza and corn dogs actually worked great for my kids (although they didn’t like the pizza
), but that doesn’t provide a lot of variety for most families.
I thought having daytime activities was a brilliant way to still bring in revenue! Especially on super hot afternoons or when there are thunderstorms.
I bought an $80 bag at Blizzard Beach and justified it because I hadn’t had a chance to get to the Basin when we were at the GF or DS. I will not be able to avoid it next time! Cannot WAIT for a signature Boardwalk scented bathbomb!
This is a much-needed addition.
Not sure if the Hurly Burly place interests me. I’ve yet to even check out Abracadabar. Interested to learn more.
I’m still hoping a quick service goes in to the big river grill spot… that still hasn’t been announced right? The current selections aren’t that great, especially if you have any food allergies in the family.
Edited——. Yay they did announce a new quick service is coming!!! That is awesome!
That’s the one negative I have about staying there. Unless I cook in our room, there is literally no where for me to eat breakfast, and I only have 2 very common allergies. I’m looking forward to seeing what they do to fill that gap!
This doesn’t say where anything is going but I think the assumption is the Hurly Burly is in the Jellyrolls spot and the Basin is in the old art gallery space. The Big River Grill could definitely be a QS. ![]()
Yes same- it’s tough. We are staying beach club next fall which isn’t much better for QS. Hoping to piece together some meals. Allergy friendly chicken tenders would go a long ways!
This is DEFINITELY worth repeating. You do NOT want to stay at Boardwalk. I mean as a last resort, sure…maybe booking 6 months out. But I definitely would NOT book earlier than that. ![]()
Beach Club Marketplace used to have the BEST rotisserie chicken meals and I’m so sad they got rid of them. I would walk all the way across for that.
I’ll admit, while I think a QS place at Boardwalk makes sense, and much-needed, it wasn’t like there weren’t plenty of food options at Boardwalk already. Between Boardwalk Deli, the Pizza Window, Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs, and the Leaping Horse Libations, not to mention the table-service places, it wasn’t like it was short on options. I think it is much needed because there wasn’t a place for getting standbys such as burgers and chicken tenders.
I think that if you compare to something like the Pop Food Court that the Boardwalk is substantially deficient. Like you can’t get a Bounty Platter on property! There may be lots of “food” but it definitely lacks basics.
Yes that would be perfect! Now there options are really lacking.
I have no idea what that is…but I presume it is in the category of the “standbys” I was referring to!! ![]()
Good point. Me and my kids don’t like sandwiches so I was discounting the deli. But I forgot about the pool bar.
