I was just watching a vlog before the current paint job and realized as much as the change was hard to accept, I have come to like it…and actually like it way better than the old version which now just seems bland and washed out.
No one is more surprised than me. So, I will expect to accept any new change.

I like the picture and upon closer inspection, I think it’s because it’s more of a cream color than gray. I felt the old scheme was too brutalist. Might have just been because it was faded.

Yay! Visiting TDR’s castle this summer especially made me realize how much I miss the old color way! I can’t wait!

This was the best news ever. I’m not a fan of the pink. I do like the blue tops though.

Pink is my favorite color, but they need to stop trying to make pink castles happen. It’s not going to happen.

What this announcement has caused me to realize is that I don’t really care what color the castle is. I liked it before. I like it now. I like it whatever color they make it with projections. I think I’ll like it when they change it again.

I like the return to grey or even a cream color. I do wonder if this will make the projections pop more? And my bet is that this will also be a lead in to whatever plans they have for Mickey’s 100th Birthday in 2028.

I was telling my wife that Disney probably wants to make the projections easier/better.

Not sure I see any need to paint it. It still looks beautiful as is ..and do we really want months of having it covered in scaffolding again? Not really. But…I suppose it is inevitable.

The gray really felt like stone. But I didn’t like it. I really would like to see more warm tones and pops of color on the castle.

Does anyone know the timeline for completing this project?
I don’t believe they announced a date…but I can’t imagine they would start on this during the holiday season. My guess would be that it will start sometime in 2026.
