Does it die down after the 4pm open? Like would it be better to arrive late?
DD works lots of parties and area clear is part of her job. Plan on sitting at SC from 6:00 until you are seated, you may even be escorted over there at a checkpoint. yes you will be escorted all the way out after you eat, but it might not be backstage.

We actually weren’t escorted out, we were allowed to wander on our own, but every checkpoint had us taking the side routes and unable to cross lands or go near the castle. That’s not to say we didn’t get to linger just a bit on Main Street…

I’d say it felt as busy if not busier after 4. There was a mass of people queued up at 3pm so they all flooded in at 4, and I imagine anyone not staying for the party wanted to stay as long as possible.

Right but did the entrance line die down. What I’m wondering is if you showed up later closer to 7pm would have less line to get in? and then less crowds in the park by then too!

We didn’t have party tickets and we kinda just decided to pop in for the weekend-
We were exiting at 3 and lines were ridiculous…
Honestly if you can get in early than that I would or arrive later…

We were late getting in, around 5ish, and it was still crowded at the gate. It seemed like a lot of people were having ticket problems. We were hoping crowds in the park would die down after 6 but no.

I think so. Honestly it felt like that particular night was a fluke with the heat and disorganization. I’ve heard of others having really good times.

I looked back at my report from the party last year. I made the comment - entry was a little scary. So many people. However, my arrival was around the time they started kicking out non-party guests. Bottlenecks on bottlenecks. After that it was smooth sailing.

Yeah, I think it’s the same situation coming in at the start of entry at 4 and the kicking out at 6.

True, I believe they got there around 3 and by 3:30 or so the lines were already deep.

So…if you arrive ahead of 4:00, but are allowed in due to park hopping, is it easy to bypass the party crowd? While we plan to arrive ahead of 4, I hope we can still get through easily enough!
When DS and I were there two weeks ago, we arrived shortly after 3:00 to line up for the party and were at the front of the pack. If you are park hopping, you should be able to enter separately from where they hold the party ticket only crowd/line.
