3X= 15-3-6
3X=6
X=2

I just figured the first number had to at least be 7 and went up from there.

That’s complicated! I just thought the hundreds and the units have 6 between them, there weren’t many choices.

so x + (x+3) + (x+3+3) = 15
3x + 9 = 15
x+3 = 5
x = 2

Dang. I was overcomplicating and focused on the “times” thinking it was something multiplied by 3.

Sounds like you decided to “brute force” a solution, rather than use Algebra.

Loving the math you’re throwing out here occasionally. So used to just seeing “Disney math” here, it’s good to get a refresher on real math once in awhile. :joy:

Algebra schmalgebra. I always hated having to show my work bc my brain just works in mysterious ways. If I have to explain it I get all out of whack.
