I prefer it with pepperoni. Ham is sometimes gross.
it was Hawaii that ruined it. and by ruined I mean made it a bazillion times better
It’s not like I said broccoli lol
I dig it. Our house usually does jalapeno & pepperoni
As a native NYer many are surprised that I like “Hawaiian” pizza (ham & pineapple), but when I can’t have a really great, fresh slice of thin crust right out of the oven from a NYC area pizzaria, then pile on the ham and pineapple to make it okay to eat! ![]()
Basically, I really like that NY slice. I would never order “Hawaiian” in the NYC area, but it makes non-NY pizza much more palatable.
I was just about to say this exact same thing, slightly different wording. I knew we were on the same wavelength.
I’ve had broccoli pizza before and it wasn’t the worst thing I’ve ever eaten
Didn’t we establish we were twins already?
100%. Sometimes you just have to cover up the bad crust and sauce.
My opinions on the matter are all pre-allergy though. Currently I get a GF pizza with no sauce and no cheese, add on grilled chicken, spinach, mushrooms, garlic and tomato.
But was it good though?
You know, I’ve just never tried a pineapple slice, but I can see how the flavors would work.
But, with so many more enticing options (to me) in NY, there’s a close to zero chance I will ever try one here either.
So, an open-faced sandwich.
Ditto. @missoverexcited was channeling her inner LT and Julianne this morning. The Doritos one!
Pineapple needs no other accompaniment on pizza to be amazing but it pairs well with onion. If it must have meat, I agree with my soul brethren, LT and Jeff, it should be pepperoni.
Oh yeah! That used to be the place back in college. There’s several here in Charlotte now too. Sadly their dough makes me sick now. I have some kind of severe intolerance to some ingredient they use so I haven’t been able to eat it in a while. Their calzones…
I haven’t been to one since I lived in DC, I miss it. Kansas is bereft of decent pizza options
I had this idea long ago that they should include chopsticks with a bag of cheetos (similar situation to Doritos). I think I actually did see this one time!
Genius!
My niece might say the same thing, but she ate cat poop one time.
to wash the taste of pineapple pizza out of her mouth?
