With Space220 not being on the Dining Plan, does that make a difference to where it should be?
No
The system doesnāt involve the dining plan in the reservation process. Thats strictly at the restaurant level at the time of your visit
I mean it will be easier to get because less people will be trying to book it. i.e. weāre on Dining Plan, it was top of my list til I noticed it wasnāt DP. Now Iām not paying well over $200 for food for 4 of us (2 adults, 1 11 year old so adult price and 1 5 year old) when lots of other places will accept DP.
Oh I see what youāre saying
I still donāt think it changes the order of things though
I wonder if Yak and Yeti (and TRex?) deserves an asterisk. The reservations seem to go very fast but I believe that folks with a Landryās card can still walk up and eat with very little wait.
What about Ogaās Cantina? Can be tough to snag.
Was once true. But you can get ADRs there pretty much anytime of day, any dayā¦even tomorrow! We got a reservation and there were tons of availability. So I donāt think it has the demand it once did. When we were there a week ago Friday, there were tons of walk ups they were accommodating.
The novelty has worn off for many. I wouldnāt wait to get in there even though itās cool inside of youāre near the bar.
Also, who wants to make an ADR to stand???
We were fortunate to get a booth (probably since we had a baby with us), and while we did enjoy the vibe to experience once, it was also awkward that we were seated with complete strangers, which made for an interest game of pretending we didnāt see each other, and just basically ignore the other party.
I was glad to have done it onceā¦but wouldnāt do it again, for sure.
This is what I disliked most. We were put in a little cave room, all grey. We stood next to a thin counter. The bar area itself looked cool. Wish we could have sat there. They should at least have stools in those rooms.
We had a nice couple with a child in a high chair in the little cave with us. Ogaās wasnāt what they thought it would be. The child was well behaved but a little loud. It echoed in the little space we were in. Didnāt bother us but they felt the need to apologize. It was awkward being in the space with them. But it helped that they werenāt obnoxious or smelly, lol.
I have been twice, standing both times. The second time we at least stood at the bar, but at the very far end where servers were in/out picking up drinks and food. It felt like we were in the way.
Iāve never minded sharing tables at Biergarten because I think it makes it feel very authentic. Sharing a booth feels like another story!
This is a reason we will NEVER eat at Biergarten. It is an introverts worst nightmare! ![]()
Itās been several, several years since we ate at Biergarten. But I remember we had our own table. We werenāt close to the stage. We had 6 people.
A. You do not HAVE to talk to people at your table. I have been at tables at Lecellier where the table next to us was just as close as at Biergarten.
B. Good news, they donāt seat parties together anymore.
Same. Too many people shoved into a sardine can.
Iām surprised to see you suggest reserving Sci-fi before CRT and Story Book! Is this still true for 2025? Iām trying to finalize my food budget for our August trip and decide if I want to do the dining plan or not, as reservations need to be made by June for us. Iām trying for:
- Sci-fi dine in for lunch on day 2 of our trip
- Story Book for dinner on day 4 (Saturday night eek)
- CRT for lunch on day 7
Should I book Sci-fi first, then CRT and then Story Book? I was thinking I should go CRT, Story Book and then Sci-fiā¦
Given the order of your days, I would probably keep an eye on availability and decide right before booking day.
It might depend on how picky you are about meal times.
I think Storybook has fallen in demand a little since the newness has worn off but the 6 pm and 7 pm times book faster than early and late times.
CRT can be tough but I think CRT breakfast is more competitive than lunch because $$.
I would say Sci Fi is super tough if you want the F! package but even non F! it books quick.
From everything Iāve read/seen, all restaurants have been easier to book than in previous years though. I recently got both Sci Fi and Space 220 at 7+1.
I would add Geo 82 and Beak and Barrel now that they are both open and we see a high demand. Also, what about California Grill? It used to be more difficult to get, but maybe not anymore? Thoughts?
I think this, and Storybook Dining (mentioned above) are so expensive now that they arenāt that hard to get anymore.
