Master order to obtain ADRs list

It seems a common question is what order to obtain specific ADRs. This made me think that maybe it would be worth making a master list of possible ADRs, and list them in priority order in obtaining them. (Based on likely availability, not based on personal preference.)

I’ll maintain the list here, so people can reference it. So, please submit your suggestions below as to what ADRs to get, and in what order, and I’ll add them. There is obviously some subjectivity as to what goes ahead of one versus the other, but hopefully we can come close enough.

Highest priority (that is, hardest to get) is at the top. I’ve started with a list extracted from Touring Plan’s own article on the subject: Hardest Dining Reservations at Disney World | TouringPlans.com Blog

Notes:

  • It is fairly safe to assume that the harder an ADR is to obtain, to increase your chances, you should try to book that ADR further into your trip (that is, say, booking at 6 days into your trip will likely make it easier to obtain something than 1 day into your trip).
  • Even if you can’t find an ADR at 60 days out (+ length of stay), keep checking!!! This is meant to be a guide, not a be-all. Sometimes something that has been booked can still be obtained even a couple hours ahead!

That’s a great idea, Ryan

I think the thing that may complicate it is that the day you’re aiming for can certainly impact your ability to secure a given ressie (day 1 vs day 10) But maybe this is part of the post?

I was thinking about that…but I think it is worth assuming that the harder to get, the further out you will have luck. I’ll add that to the original post as a note, though, to make it clear!

That’s certainly fair!

I didn’t find anything super hard to get, but I think Story Book dining is worth adding.

Yeah…as of late, the difficulty level of obtaining dining seems to have eased up. Many are attributing this to the LLMP (among other factors)…people spending money on LLMP instead of ADRs. No way to know for sure, but it definitely seems like I’ve seen more availability…and when we go to a restaurant, there are more empty tables than I remember seeing a couple years ago.

Where on the list do you think it should go? At the end of that list?

Have not viewed the list

Is V&A on there?

No. I only have what was originally on the list of difficult reservations from the Touring Plans article. I’m not sure how recent that list is, so it might not be exhaustive…but anything that needs to be added, I just need to be told what and where!

Where would you put V & A?

You have to have it buried into your stay by several days, or stalk the heck out of it and pounce when it appears

I’m suddenly reading that with an 80s flare. Like, totally tubular!!

I’ve been watching some of these and it seems that Topolino’s Terrace for dinner should be pretty high on that list, probably higher than 1900 Park Fare

Got it!

Are you adding them in priority order? We no longer eat much table service but Story Book was harder than T-Rex for me!

I would put Ohana on there (for dinner) somewhere. That can be difficult.

What about the Fantasmic dining package for Sci Fi? Seems moderately difficult (at least for normal lunch times).

I added it to the end of the list. Not sure if that’s the best location or not, but at least it is there.

Okay. I moved it just above T-Rex.
