Marvel Cinematic Universe

Oh good. Then I won’t worry about being quite so careful

If I read something and was spoiled, it would have been my own fault.

I think watching the later ones gave me enough of an idea what had happened, it would be hard to spoil anyway.

But I agree…if you have not watched Endgame before, watch Black Widow in the order but do NOT watch the post credit scene because that will spoil something.

He creeped me out in Atonement, but that’s more his character.

9 if you are planning.on Spider Man Far from Home after Endgame. (Which I highly recommend).

Spidey was the only superhero I liked before this so I’ll watch his movies for sure. Which brings me to 10. I was feeling overconfident. Or incapable of counting LOL

You can do it! No cooking or doing laundry until you’re done. You should still do your training runs, but probably call in sick to work. :woman_shrugging:

I was not a fan of him or his cheekbones that can cut glass until I saw him in Sherlock.

I really did laugh :joy_cat:!

I will take all of this under advisement!

DH does all the laundry and a lot of the cooking. But I can “feel sick” in the name of Marvel fandom :joy:

Hmm, I just spent a Saturday with our board of Directors, and my DD has Diwali off on Thuraday. Maybe I should play hookie and we can spend a day watching Marvel movies!

Diwali already?! Dang time is flying.

Also mental note to wish one of our NP’s a Happy Diwali!

Hmmm… Apparently at some point I started watching Civil War and stopped. I went to D+ to start it and it said “Continue watching”.

I restarted it.

I just watch Infinity War today.

While I appreciate the saga as a whole and find the story / big picture interesting, I’ve come to realize that as movies, there’s too much going on in these for my taste - all the Avengers movies, that is. I watched Antman recently and while it wasn’t the most meaningful movie in the franchise, I’d honestly rather rewatch it than rewatch Infinity War. I know this doesn’t make a great Marvel fan, lol.

By the way, for anyone who hasn’t seen it, I recommend watching the Assembling a Universe documentary thats on Disney+. It was made around 2014 I think, so it mostly covers the origins of MCU and the movies up to the first half of phase 2. Super interesting for me as I’m not a long time or die hard Marvel fan.

Just finished a re-watch of Black Widow.

Dr. Strange, Thor Ragnarok, Ant Man and the Wasp, Infinity War, and Endgame to go in my timeline order watching of the MCU movies on Disney+ (Using their timeline order playlist) before my February trip to Avengers Campus (and Disneyland)!

I think I’ll make it. Might have to work up the “I’m going to cry like a baby” guts for Infinity War (especially) and Endgame so these may be stretched out a bit more.

OK now that I have a moment to say more:

I knew the villain was going to be the villain (and guessed at his penultimate villainous role/action) and that the ultimately super good guy would be the super good guy. But to watch that all play out was chef’s kiss.

I absolutely LOVE Drax. He keeps me in stitches. “…and so are you (beautiful)… on the inside.”

Stallone’s role was stupid. It felt like he said, “Hey I want to be in this movie, what can you do for me?” and there he was. I don’t like him much anyway, so I suppose I am not unbiased about it.

The soundtrack just gets better and better. Have been listening to the Complete Mixtape (awww remember mixtapes?? :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: ) this morning.

I get the whole big love for Groot (and especially Baby Groot) now.

The relationship with the sisters was heartbreaking. I bet there are, unfortunately, a lot of siblings who can relate to why they had the relationship with each other - and with Thanos - that they did and how that played out for them through their life.

Rocket is just the ultimate asshole and I love him.

The relationship between Quill and Gamora - and its evolution over the two movies - was perfect. I bet some here think it was cheesy, right? But I loved it. That whole “unspoken thing” thing.

I watched the credits in full. Hopefully I’m not the only one who noticed how some of the names morphed? How did they decide whose name got to morph, I wonder? How cool would that have been to see live as that person??

All in all this was an absolutely FANTASTIC movie and I’ll definitely be watching these two again.

And finally, I would like a collection of Chris-es (as in multiple people named Chris). I am learning that basically if you’re an actor and hot and named Chris you’ll land a leading role in Marvel. Whoever wants to get them for me for Christmas, thanks in advance. They don’t even need to have shirts! I am swoony over them.

I always thought he was wearing far too many clothes for the task at hand in this scene :wink:

Regarding guardians 2 -
The character development is great. How can they
get us to cry our little eyes out over someone as distasteful as Yondu? There we all are thinking that ‘I’m Mary Poppins Y’all’ is cementing him into our hearts and then he goes and dies :sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob:
And then he gets the proper send off :sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob::sob:

Such good stuff!!! :yellow_heart:
