I totally spaced booking last night ![]()
but I booked a length-of-cruise Rainforest pass and coupleās massage for a time that works for us so weāre good! ![]()
Whoops! I have done that a couple of times, especially if itās a weekend. 10pm on a Friday is not a time of the week I am at all watching the clock.
But Iām glad it all worked out!
The spa on the Wish/Treasure look amazing, so very good choice on those!
Itās July 12th if I did it wrongā¦
fixed it! Thank you. Not sure why I messed it up.
Your embarkation date is my 15th anniversary. ![]()
Iām scheduled for Treasure on Oct. 18! Will be my first DCL but have cruised Carnival, NCL, and Royal. Iāll be interested to see how they compare as Iām looking at booking Icon/Star for next spring.
Also flying in 2 days early for my first MNSSHP as well!
I think this may be the first time we have two liners on the same cruise, at least in the last few years. @NoCapes is in and out, maybe you and she can connect @aliceismad
I bet you will enjoy DCL. I have done all the same lines you have, as well as Princess, on a variety of ships. I have never had a bad cruise. The features I like on DCL are the shows, the characters and the rotational dining. I donāt think the food is as good as other line, but it is still better than my dinners at home! And the atmosphere is the fun part. I also love Pirate night! October will be here before you know it! Please report back.
Iām getting really excited for our cruise next month - especially now that the Star of the Seas has actually arrived in Port Canaveral. There are some onboard tour of the ship videos that I watched. @melcort10 You should see some of these. The elevator lobbies look so calm and spacious, with their new elevator system. Lots of color on the upper decks, similar to Icon. So many different public decks! Plus all these extra staircases, escalators, and slides to connect decks. So many new-to-me complimentary food places - and they look good, too! Iām glad our cruise is a 7-night cruise, it will take me a while to learn my way around this ship!
Itās becoming more real - Iāve done our online check-in already, and I made sure to snag reservations for the major shows (ice, aquatheater, and the Back to the Future musical) a few weeks ago, shortly after they became available. I wasnāt going to be shut out this time! I made sure to book them for the first three days in case any get cancelled for assorted reasons, and I can catch them another day.
Iām definitely seeing tons of videos and blogs! Iām knee deep in prepping for Epic Universe first but canāt wait to cheer myself up with Star videos when I get back. It looks amazing! Canāt wait for your trip either.
December - DCL Dream ⢠4-night Very Merrytime Bahamian Cruise from FLL
December 1-5 - DCL Dream ⢠4-night Very Merrytime Bahamian Cruise from FLL
Are you replacing the other cruise or doing two?
I think they just didnāt put the dates (only the month) when they first posted!
Oh, Iām glad I opened this thread⦠I wasnāt b/c I thought it would be just DCL. We have a relocation cruise booked on
NCL-Pearl 23 Nov - 8 Dec leaving Barcelona and arriving in Miami. 15 days at sea; Iām going to have to read through this for any helpful ideas. We will have several ports of call in 4 different countries before the Atlantic crossing begins. Fair Winds!
oh, this is good to know. Iām happy about it though b/c I didnāt like the ridged scheduling on the only other cruise we have been on (DCL-WISH Oct 2024). The second night of our cruise I refused to be seated in the horribly cramped setting and our assigned wait staff was wonderfully understanding and found us another spot to sit b/c they didnāt want me to miss the show. Iām glad they accommodated us.
I am glad they accommodated you, too. The dining on the Wish is very cramped, especially in Arendelle.
For a party of 2-4, I donāt think the NCL dining will be at all an issue.
When we did NCL, we were a party of 10. If we had just arrived on a day-to-day basis to the venue of our choice, we could have had long waits as the staff waited for seating to clear. My way around that was to have reservations nightly. [This was not as easy as it should have been, bc we were across four staterooms and the maximum number of seats per reservation was 8 with online reservation system. I had to call NCL while the travel planner worked with me in real time to try to find sets of 6 and 4, or 2 and 8 at our venues of choice. We did not always get the time slots we would have preferred. We had a wonderful promotion when we went in 2016, it included free specialty dining for everyone in the cabin for 5 of the 7 nights. We got to visit each of the upcharge restaurants.]
I have always wanted to do a repositioning cruise! And I also have a Panama Canal cruise on my bucket list.
