@cynergy - how was Treasure? I think you were the first one on it (from this group) with @FOMOm_VA next week.

Overall it was good. We liked that the common areas were centrally located. We didn’t really get to use the adult only areas as DD14 didn’t give us much time away from her . My major complaint is the lack of a full promenade deck as we like to do walks. The food was phenomenal from the rotational dining to the pool deck options to the buffet.

This was our 2nd DCL cruise, having done the Fantasy last time.

We will be on the Wish 3/31-4/4, 4 night Bahamian cruise out of Port Canaveral. First ever cruise for our family! Sailing with DH’s aunt and uncle in a connecting cabin. Then doing 4/4-4/5 at WDW afterward with them.

Just got off the ship earlier today. Holy cow. The ship itself, the food, the decor, the moana show… absolutely amazing! More to come

@mkmuzzy we just booked Star of the Seas for 2027!! I very eagerly await your review! What class of room do you have booked?? Are you watching every video?

Yay! I hope you enjoy it.

We went (somewhat) cheap, and have an ocean view room. In fact, it’s deck 10, cabin 10500. That’s at the very center front of deck 10. It’s an odd little room, but it’s just the two of us. By the time we decided to book this cruise, the price of balcony rooms (our preferred choice) was a big step up from ocean view. We’ve done enough cruises that I was ok with DH talking me into ocean view. I got to pick the room, and this could be interesting. It has the sloped window wall.

A year ago, I watched Ordinary Adventures’ video about boarding the Icon (a sister ship), and got excited about this class. I’ve seen their videos about Icon and some by other people, but I like their style best. You can bet I will be eagerly watching video reviews of Star before our trip!

Recently, I’ve been telling DH that I am really looking forward to our June 15 cruise on Wonder of the Seas - so much chance to just relax and eat interesting food (that I didn’t have to buy, cook, and clean up). It was only 3 weeks ago that we were at DLR for 5 park days. It was new to us, and we had fun meeting up with others. Now we’re going to WDW for 2-3 days (slower with midday breaks and early nights) right before the cruise. The cruise will be far easier on our old bodies!

We opted to fly in June, spending miles. But in September we will probably drive, so we aren’t at the mercy of airlines during prime hurricane time.

I’ll be really curious to get your take on Wonder vs. Star because our favorite was the Oasis.

My DS6 literally got off the Odyssey and started saying that he wanted this birthday to be on Star of the Seas! They weren’t even really that heavily advertising it!! I saw a lot of stuff saying that they underestimated the age of the kids that were going to be on Icon so they designed the Star for ā€œolder kidsā€ which fits us perfectly so I’m really excited. I just wish we could make it work before 2027!

Ooohh just found this thread. We’ll be on an 7 Night Eastern Caribbean out of Miami on the Carnival Celebration March 29, 2026.

I’m excited about this itinerary going to St. Thomas, San Juan and Celebration Key. It aligns perfect with our spring break and goes to some new places for us.

Ooh! I am curious what ports you are stopping at and which excursions you are doing…and ultimately if you think they are worth doing.
