Leading Reservations for dining?

Leading reservation for 6/22 - 7/6.

Is that my problem? It should be longer?

You can only book until 7/6 since your reservation ends 7/6. Honestly, reservations are so wide open now, that you really don’t even need a leading reservation.

It needs to cover the entire trip days.

Thanks for helping me figure it out. I made the leading reservation before I added the last day to my actual trip. But at least it makes sense why I’m locked out of 7/7 reservations today!

Even though I expect it to be easier to make reservations now than in the past… I will say that I couldn’t get the time I wanted for Boma at 60+10! There were already times that were completely gone at 7:30am. Crazy.

That’s very unusual. If I try to make a Boma breakfast reservation for tomorrow, 7:30, 7:45, 8:35, 8:50, 9:05, 9:50, 10:05, 10:20, 10:35, 10:45, 11:00, 11:15 are all available.

Even looking 60 days from today, those same/similar times are available.

They may not be loaded yet.

@JenniferB1975 @PrincipalTinker For 7/6, I have a 10:15 reservation, but I wanted 10:30 or 10:45. They were both gone the day I booked. 10:45 shows up now, but I’m not sure if it’s worth switching. I think I would switch to 10:30 though, if that ever shows up…

Is this be a thing for lightning lane premier pass purchases?
Doing a primarily UO trip in June but now hoping to add a quick swing by MK. Is it likely necessary to book an on site hotel night to purchase 7 as opposed to 3 days out or even a longer stay, leading-res style?

No. When they announced LL prebooking, Disney also changed their cancellation policy for room only reservations to 8 days out (I believe it used to be 5 days). So the cancellation date will have passed by the time the 7 day booking window opens. The modify button goes away after the cancellation deadline passes so you would have to call to plead your case for any changes and not sure they would believe anyone if they saw active tickets with LL.

Good to know thank you!
Any sense if it is necessary to just buy a night at a value resort to be able to buy at 7 days out or are they just available at 3 days anyway? (Again, this is for the premier passes, not the book each ride ones)

IIRC, Christmas was the only time when Premier Passes sold out before day of. Most other times, if they sell out, they will day of, and even then, most days that doesn’t even happen.

Mostly true, but not always. I was actually looking at this today on thrilldata.com and it appears that PP for MK for 5/25 and 5/28 sold out 4-5 days in advance. This was likely impacted by higher crowds for the days around Memorial Day.

Blah. This entire system is just messed up. :confounded:

Ok that’s enough for me to just book something to relieve the anxiety.
Not that I was exactly getting away with anything planning on 2k for a quick offsite drop in day for 3 people but I respect that someone saw this coming and was like nah…we can get more!
I know this is supposed to spiral into a ā€˜well, we could actually add a wdw stay…’ but I’m drawing a line here…probably…for now…

I made a leading reso for 5/13/26-5/31/26. I logged in on 3/14 and made a dining reso for 5/23 successfully. I logged in on 3/15 and made a dining reso for 5/24 successfully. Today, I was not able to book past 5/24. I was expecting to make a dining reso for 5/25. The latest date it is allowing is 5/24. Anyone have a suggeston as to what I am missing? Actual stay will be 5/23-5/30.

Have you tried incognito mode and/or diff browsers? Like chrome, edge, Firefox, safari. Try from the app versus the PC? But maybe they’re having an issue too. It’s Disney it after all!

Also have you tried multiple restaurants. Sometimes one is delayed I’ve noticed but that’s more with special events in my experience.

I did try on the computer and app. Did not try incongnito but will now. My husband (also on room rez) tried his app also. The date 5/25 is not accessible to be booked (grayed out on calendar). I am still able to edit 5/23 and 5/24. My plan is to check in the morning and maybe it is a glitch.

It seems like the system is only seeing uour leading as going from 5/13-5:24?

You can only book up to 10 days following the start of your reservation even if the reservation is longer than 10 days.

Ok I think this must be it. In the past, the subsequents day would open up each morning and that meant each morning I had to log in to book each subsequent day. I used the Leading Reservation dining calculator, but I think this is some sort of user error that I am not understanding.
