Le Cellier, Yachtsman, or Chefs de France?

I love LeCellier. Yes it is kinda cramped, but the whole feel of the place is cozy. I have not really enjoyed my times dining at LCdF. It was just ok.

My inside Epcot ‘other’ pick would be Tutto Italia, but I really agree with so many others that Flying Fish is the clear choice. Absolute best filet on property and the service is extremely high caliber.

Decided to see if we could try Flying Fish (since we are staying at the Boardwalk anyhow). But the menu? A hard no for us. So, Le Cellier it is!

My top choice for date night is Flying Fish. I think you prefer beef and it does have a couple of steaks on the menu. @LTinNC82 says it has the best filet at WDW! I went in June for the first time during my birthday, bonus trip. Ambience, decor, … and food say date night to me. I’m taking DH there next month for his first time. And the tables are not on top of one another.

If you don’t want to leave Epcot. CdF.

Le Cellier - The tables really are close enough for me to snatch my neighbors’ pretzel breads and stuff them into my zip lock bag to enjoy later! :grimacing: :yum:

Chefs de France - A PP photographer from France told me that the onion soup at CdF is authentic. And it was! I’ve also had the salmon, seafood saute, and steak. They were all yummy. Stay away from the profiterole! I choked on the cream puff! It was super dry. I didn’t feel that the tables are that close. I’ve been there a number of times this year. It’s an easy reservation to get at the last minute. I was told it doesn’t give an AP discount at dinner. :woman_shrugging:t4:

Yachtman - While the steaks are good and the $16 chocolate cake is the best I’ve had, Flying Fish has better ambience and decor. And Flying Fish is less noisy.

Tiffin’s has this problem, as well. Those tables are REALLY close together!

In this video she says you can switch out the char crust to the filet and also that you can mix and match sides. I actually think I would like the New York strip presentation (including char crust), but with a filet. I don’t like mushrooms so I’m not a fan of the filet presentation.

If Flying Fish is an option, I would vote for that over all the others. It is amazing!

For the type of atmosphere you’re looking for, Most of the 1TS credit restaurants in Epcot will be more “kid friendly” than you are probably looking for. You could venture into Takumi Tei or Monsieur Paul, but I think that’s a bit too froufrou for you.

I think Flying Fish would be a good choice. It’s away from Epcot, but close enough that you can eat and get right back in.

Me either so I ask them to leave them off. It’s really just a few little stalks of baby ones so easy enough to remove.

All are great choices. I voted Le Cellier but I don’t think you could do wrong with any of them.

This might end up winning out if we end up using it as our Candlelight Processional dining package … TBD if we will have two different dinners or if we will do QS one night.

I used to be a Le Cellier hater after one bad experience a long time ago. Once I gave it another try, I was converted. We have had multiple great meals there recently (and I’m not even a huge steak person).

I never order the steak there! It’s signature poutine, cheese soup and maple creme brûlée for dessert. That with the pretzel bread and I am one happy camper.

That would be perfect for me too!!

Of your options, I’d choose Le Cellier but I agree with others on Flying Fish.

Flying Fish was our date night meal this summer. One thing I’d suggest is to request a table in the main dining room.

Our meal was excellent but the night didn’t start out great for us. We had a 5:30 ADR and they put us in the room in the back past the main dining room and next to a very large party, probably 15-20 people. I wasn’t too happy with the table so they moved us but not to one of the tables in the completely empty dining room but at a small table in the first section right next to the noisy open kitchen. When we left two hours later there were still empty tables in the main dining room so it’s not like they wouldn’t have turned the table over. It was really odd. We actually talked about leaving because it wasn’t the ambience I was hoping for on date night, which isn’t something I’ve ever even considered. The wine helped though and our meal was so good that we were glad we hadn’t left. We both had steak too.

After hearing you can swap out the sides, we switched our Le Cellier for Flying Fish. Probably get the Filet but with a different side.

I’ve never been to yachtsman but chefs de France definitely had more kids in it and wasn’t near the same quality of le cellier was to me. Also le cellier is dark and we got a nice table both of my visits in a booth in a corner so I didn’t get that close feeling. Maybe ask for a more romantic table upon checkin. But chefs de France is louder and brighter and good fun but like a classic French steak and chips style. Now upstairs at monsieur Paul is romantic. But if you’re gonna go that route and like Japanese I’d hands down choose takumi tei which may be the best food (I liked it better than v&a) and ambience I’ve ever had in wdw.

Oh I love tutto Italia. It’s underrated.

Also enjoyed Flying Fish but I’m a seafood person. But I didn’t find it particularly romantic. No more so than le cellier but I think that may just be the table we got in flying fish versus the booths I’ve gotten in le cellier. Our flying fish table was right next to the kitchen in the middle of the floor but the food was good. Still preferred le cellier food tho. Maybe I’m weird. lol.

Flying fish

You can kind of see how close the tables are there. They are decently spread out.

*abracadabra on the other hand I do think is romantic and it’s nice before your meal for a cocktail so if you’re gonna add then add me to flying fish vote

Le cellier. (Holy cow neither time did we photo our food here, guess we have to go back!)

It’s funny - I spent some time at work watching a YouTube channel called Addicted to the Mouse review each of these restaurants – Le Cellier, Chefs de France, Yachtsman, and Flying Fish – and they seemed to rave the most about Yachtsman, then Le Cellier, then Flying Fish, then Chefs de France.

Their complaint about Flying Fish seemed specific to their visit – they were seated like 20-30 minutes after their reservation time (even though they arrived early) and while they thought all the food was good, they felt it was overpriced for how good it was.

They really liked the steak at Yachtsman. Their only complaint there was the decor and style seemed dated.

They mentioned the cramped tables at Le Cellier, as well as the heavy food for being at a theme park.

They had nothing super positive or negative to say about Chefs de France.

Wait, what about something like Shula’s or Bluezoo at The Swolphin? Or is that getting a little too far away from Epcot?
