As a lowly recent resale owner, I would love to stay here but doubt I will cough up the cash anytime soon. I was ok with never getting to stay at Riviera because itâs not my cup of tea, but Lakeshore Lodge looks like a great resort to actually spend some time.

I am in the same boat. I need to stay there to see if maybe it is time for me to buy direct points, because I really like what I am seeing. I was not interestedin Riviera.
I find I am really finicky about resorts - not in a way that I find faults while I am there, but that I end up with really strong preference of where I want to stay again. Transportation has a lot to do with that, so I think I need to see how bus transportation ends up working. After that it is 100% the vibe and layout of the space.

When we were at Wilderness Lodge, the buses usually shared with Fort Wilderness and we went directly past the Lakeshore Lodge every time. I have to imagine there would continue to be some sort of shared arrangement.

Food is an important option for us too. For example, because itâs beautiful and has animals and a good pool and has great dining, AKL is always an option for us if weâre looking at a short trip or a split stay.

I absolutely hate the transportation at Wilderness lodge. No matter when I got on a bus, we were either the first stop going to the parks, or the last stop coming from the parks. We shared with the Contemporary, we shared with Fort Wilderness at the front, Fort Wilderness at the back. I donât mind the buses at Beach Club and I donât mind the busses at AKV. But the bus situation may be what makes me not want Lakeshore Lodge.

Agree about food! It is one reason I love Grand Floridian. The food, lounges, pools and I love the resort studios. I donât like the stuffy atmosphere, but those things and the walking path/monorail/boats over ride that it isnât my vibe (except I love Mary Poppins so the room is 
)

I think you know how furious I was about the MK boat being closed when I was there. When you close a boat dock with 7 days notice then I think you should run a dedicated, direct bus, no??
Thank god we didnât share with the Contemporary! At least if they share only LL and FW or LL and WL (not both!) then they are really close to each other.

The other day I mentioned to DW that for our 2027 trip I wanted to try Lakeshore Lodge (we usually stay at BLT).
DW asked how we get to Magic Kingdom. I said bus or boat. She does not want to give up the BLT walk to MK. DW makes a compelling case: our WDW trips are 4 or 5 nights, we are at the parks each day for most of the day, and spend very little non-sleeping time at the resort.

I also love VGF for these reasons (and the resort rooms are so pretty).
Iâll be interested to see if the three proposed dining venues are sufficient for Lakeshore Lodge and if there if anything there is novel enough to warrant resort-hopper traffic.
Looks like maybe 20 minute walk to Wilderness Lodge if they build a dedicated walking connection, plus boats, so I suppose WL dining is also fairly easy/quick to get to.

Ooh yes! Iâve only stayed there once and the walk was amazing.
The walk is why I am a Beach Club owner!
I consider Poly to be a two park resort - which is why I didnât book the Tower for my next stay. I want to be right by the TTC!
I hope they run those boats frequently!

My preferred method of Disney transport even if other options are available.
Even if you had to boat hop at MK, getting to any of the MK resorts should be easy. I would think it will share a boat with a property though. Logistically, CR, FW and LL could share and WL, Poly and GF could share. I wonder what Disney will do!

I would think it would make way more sense to have WL share with LL and FW. They are all on a single access road beyond the guard gates.

Boat loading / unloading is so friggin slow. Two stops is the max I could tolerate. Three resorts on one loop would test my patience (which everyone knows is uncommonly thin LOL).

I was thinking strictly about boat sharing but this makes sense for buses, definitely!
I love being on a boat! A few stops wouldnât bother me unless I was sitting outside with the sun blaring on me. Does the Crescent Lake boats bother you? I find the loading there to be quick.

We tried these for the first time on a resort day in June and it was great, but seemed very slow. I wouldnât have wanted to do that when I was in a hurry.
I love being on a boat as long as I have a seat and donât have something time sensitive on the other end of the journey. So it all depends on the context.
My most recent experience on an MK boat was after MNSSHP last year, in a rainstorm with the wind bearing downâI felt like the captain of that ship in Peteâs Dragon where the love interest goes missing! Very adventurous and memorable but not exactly pleasant!

The boats donât share now though! I would hope they wouldnât start sharing boats with LL!
