In the 1BR at the Riviera, they have a King in the BR, a Queen pull down in the Living Room, and a single pull down under the TV in the Living Room. Sleeps 5.

Haha, my thoughts exactly but I didn’t want to highjack the thread. We had them on my college campus and at certain times of year everyone had tromped through the fruit on the sidewalks, so all the nearby classrooms had an odor resembling dog sh1t.

I chatted today with DVC to find out when I could book a tour and all I got was “It’s a construction site”. They better do better than that pre-sale!

My friend has a tree that bloom so beautifully twice a year- for like a week, lol. Then it starts losing all the petals and they are such a mess! DH, for some wild reason, is growing some of the seeds. I can’t recall the name of it my a variation is all over Nassau in a pretty reddish pink.
Totally agree, even if it’s a single trundle bed!

That’s a reasonable point actually!
The only resort that still has them is OKW …… so they could have just used the ones from Kidani and Bay Lake for Beach Club, Boardwalk and Copper Creek.

Not DVC but the All Star Family Suites used to have single chair beds too.

How did I miss that this was all going to be DVC instead of split hotel/DVC. And it looks like all.of those previously-designated-as-hotel rooms are now going to be a two queens or a single King (no murphy), no kitchenette (but microwave and mini fridge) rooms like Big Pine Key?
Which means club level will definitely be DVC and it looks like there will be a tooooon of studios to offset those high points special spaces.

Apparently the entire resort is now supposed to eventually be designated as DVC, instead of the initial 50/50 split. That definitely gets you more studios, and some interesting spaces like the “Presidential” suite and the club level rooms.

I suspect that this resort opening will marginally improve availability of DVC rooms resort-wide. With Poly Tower last year (which was relatively small TBH) and now this, I don’t think there is going to be enough additional demand to compensate for the additional inventory. Maybe wishful thinking, but in theory that’s how it should work.

I think they only declare portions of the inventory at a time - so theoretically when they declare a new block of inventory as available for DVC, all availability should improve. When that block sells out they declare another and so on. That’s one reason the cabins are so hard to get into. They aren’t selling so only a small percentage are currently in DVC incentory.

Ah that makes sense. So they will only affect availability if those rooms are more popular than other resorts on average … which they might be.

I think it will also depend on how many rooms they declare for sale at one time. If the first block is big, and they haven’t sold any points yet, it seems like it would definitely open up availability. Especially because the first round is within the 7 month mark - that’s what happened with Poly right? People shifted their reservations and it kind of cascades availability through the system?

There’s also a decent chunk of people who can’t book here, though, right? Poly is part of the old trust so anyone can book, but newer resale buyers can’t book here or at the Riviera. I wonder if that tempers the big demand a bit.
