Love DW’s mask!
I figured you would find a way to post pictures of your adorable kids, even though they are not with you. Posting pictures of adorable kids
Wasn’t that one of your tips on how to get us to follow your trip?
I love that hotel!!
Great lunch choice!!
Such wonderful news to greet you as you arrive! Okay, I can’t be sucked into your trip report no matter how cute your kids are because I have to get through my mountain of work, packing, and last minute planning in order to leave for our Grand Teton, Yellowstone, and Glacier trip on Saturday. I will catch up on your trip on Saturday at 5 am, when I’m waiting for our flight at the gate. Enjoy every moment with DW at DLR!
Sunday in our house. I try like crazy to get them to shower more often, but to no avail.
Have fun on YOUR trip! That sounds wonderful!
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade is my favorite movie, so naturally I love the ride. (It’s not my favorite ride, but I love the theming and music.)
The line was posted 15, actual 17. Pro tip: DON’T go left at the final split - they feed the wheelchair line from that side. They sometimes fed the left line to both sides, possibly to counterbalance, but I saw people who split right at the same time as us board like 3 minutes earlier.
And +100 points for spotting my own avatar in the wild:
Right here is where I start to skip a little. You can hear the music, but you aren"t there quite yet.
Big Thunder is DW’s favorite so we did that next. 5 minutes posted / 10 actual. We will come back to ride it at night as well. We were assigned the front row. We will try other locations for science. My favorite based on past experience is toward the back but not necessary the last row.
We’re now checked in for RotR. Line is set up differently than WDW - you check in like 5+ min after entering the line and a lot of it is outside. Doesn’t feel bad cause this is Anaheim - its 75 degrees. Still odd that they don’t scan people in first thing.
Whoops - I fixed this. Make note if you read this earlier before I added “don’t.”
We fondly call it Batterhorn

Finished Rise and had a lovely drink of Blue Milk. It gave me a brain freeze that I felt in my chest! I’ve never felt that before - it was painful and intense for a minute. But worth it!
Wait for rise was 26 min until Rey.
Love the DLR thunder because of the goat storyline! I also like the very front or the very back.
I noticed all the effects in the mine are working great now! Pre-covid it was hit and miss, so maybe they gave that system a little tune-up.
Love the lines right now! wish I was there.
So if you’re supposed to press your tongue to the roof of your mouth to stop brain freeze, what do you do to stop chest freeze??? ![]()

Anyone ever seen a null wait time?!
This did not mean it was closed. I think it was literally zero. We pretty much walked on, even though the sign at the entrance said 15 min.
We were assigned pilots, and I got to pull the light speed lever. I got mild motion sickness this time. I think being toward the back is better for that.
We caught a bit of the First Order before leaving Batuu.
