It's alive! New automatic fax for Disney room requests

@Sarah is looking at this, @kenjden. Will keep you updated.

I found the link to delete the room request. From the dashboard, click edit next to the room number and on the next screen click remove in the top right corner

help…I go to page to choose room …it says click here but then kicks me out to the dashboard…room request does not look like it went and no where to put ressie #

Click on ‘edit’ on the dashboard next to the room number. Then you can enter your reservation number, and customize the fax.

It doesn’t get to the point of giving me a room # on my dashboard

Did you make a trip on the Dashboard? If not, do that first.

From the Dashboard click the resort name, and the click the blue “Find a Great Room” button. Once you are on the room view you want, click the “here” in “Click here to make a request for this room”. This will jump you back to the Dashboard, but now the room number is next to the resort. Click “edit” next to the room number to add your name and reservation number.

@NeedaTurkeyLeg has screen shots above of each of these steps.

Steve thanks for the help on this…yes trip has been set up for a while and I do all of what you stated but when it bounces me back to the dashboard it does not list the room there that I am requesting

This is super cool. I hope it works. We check into the Poly on Feb 6! It’s our first time being there and we’re super excited. I asked for Rarotonga 3rd floor monorail view (garden view 2 queens). Hoping that’s a good spot to be in.

Hooray for early Feb. trips!

I added my trip but can’t find anywhere to enter info-- help?

Great idea. But it seems very strange the WDW is still using faxes.

Great tool …but pretty funny we are still dealing with faxes as Chip said…

I see the 8 rooms listed on that pop up page, @len! My DH and I paid for a King Bed room at CBR. The examples given in the fax sheet also include double bed rooms. Should I take those out?

@tlrj4488 That’s a very good question. @len Should all of the rooms listed on the fax request match the initial room selected? For example, I’ve reserved a Wilderness Lodge, Woods View, Queen + Bunk room and have set up a request for room 3020. The fax that’s waiting to be sent shows “3020,3022,3018,3016,3024,3014,3026,3012,3028” In reality, according to the room view app, on the 3rd floor, woods view only rooms 3008. 3012, 3016, 3020, 3024, 3030 are Queen+Bunk beds.

Not trying to cause more headaches, I swear!!!

@Len, methinks a couple of extra “if” statements are in order.
Or maybe certain room criteria need to be expressly entered by each user upon input?
Perhaps this should be considered “beta” right now?
Great idea, even if WDW is a few decades behind technology by still using faxes.

I asked re. basically the same thing above. In my case, Courtyard View w/ Bunk Beds at WL. I don’t want to get downgraded as they attempt to honour to the letter my request!

I am considering it too @PrincipalTinker and we never have done so before. I just filled out the fax form, editing it a little because the room request was a little too broad. I narrowed it down and added a comment. We shall see what happens!

Think my question got lost in the discussion: @len are we not suppose to do online check in now or are we suppose to still do online check in but not put any preferences thx
