Is the Disney Visa Worth It?

Okay. I just ordered my rewards card. I left $29 because it actually said you have to transfer a minimum of $20…although perhaps that is only for new rewards cards. Regardless, it won’t matter…I’ll transfer the rest later. For now, I’ll have $425 on my rewards card.

Yikes, $20? … Just checked mine and it is still $10. Didn’t you say earlier you have the premier card?
Maybe that’s the difference.

Well, I just got a confirmation email, which states you can transfer more with a minimum of $10…so the $20 minimum must have only applied to obtaining a NEW rewards card.

I just got the Savor card for the 15 month 0% APR. I had a big expense due to moving and wanted a way to finance it. Once I get it all paid off, it will be a really good card to use for those categories.

I have a Disney Visa, but never use it. The rewards are better for just about any other card. I signed up for it to get the sign up bonus.

Chase offers are awesome. I wish they started doing that a long time ago. I add several to places we usually go. I have gotten over $50 combined from all of my cards.

Closing and then opening new credit card accounts doesn’t do much for your credit score tho…

Depends how you manage it - we don’t carry any debt from month to month, so have a super low utilization rate.

We also have older cards we keep open and use to keep active, so there’s a long history on our record. Sometimes there’s a dip when a new card is issued, but it comes back up - We’re up at the top of the FICO score range.

But you sure are right that people should keep one’s credit in mind, especially if you have a large purchase like a home in the near future.

I’ve been churning cards nonstop for over 13 years and my credit score has never been less than 825.

Anyone know if I put my whole Disney package on my card then pay it off, do I get 2% in rewards? Unclear online…

If you have the card with an annual fee- yes.

Thanks!
