I’m sewing up my own skirts with pockets big enough for my phone to fit sideways
. Still don’t think they would fit a straw.
Sounds to me like #SewingFail !
In the pockets of my SparkleSkirts, I routinely carry 7 packs of Sport Beans, 2 Luna bars, my phone and my ID, and I still haven’t filled up all of the available pocket space. Not that I want to load myself down with any more stuff when I’m running a marathon.
But sewing them myself lets me wear very wrinkly linen all day long!
Ok, so I did a quick amazon search, and apparently both collapsible and telescoping straws are a thing. There are both silicone and metal, and most come with a pipe cleaner thing.
The sets I have purchased both came with brushes.
WARNING. Clean them really well when you first get them. I was shocked how dirty and oily the inside of both sets were.
I am curios about the collapsible metal straws for Disney. The telescoping ones in particular. Anyone try any version of them?
We got from straws for shakes (NOT for margaritas, I continue to insist) to pockets for marathon race course nutrition?!
I haven’t read the whole thread, but I recently found plant based compostible straws at the grocery store. They are awesome! They are very similar to plastic ones (very similar texture, etc). They don’t get soggy like the paper ones and don’t have a weird taste (or impaling hazard LOL) like the metal ones. I don’t use many straws in general, but I am so happy to have a good alternative to plastic. Might bring a package to Disney!
I wonder if they would make it pass an AK bag check.
I’m assuming you don’t drink your margaritas frozen…
Is there a particular brand on them? They sound interesting.
sometimes! sipped across the rim of a properly lime-salted rim
I will check at the grocery store when I go later this weekend. I can’t remember the name off the top of my head.
Check out the silicone straws from GoSili. It’s what we bring.
They actually do!
I saw “straw” straws.
Hmm. I wonder if folks with hay fever or a grass allergy can use those safely!
Good question.
I was wondering about the silicon ones. Thank you for the info!
I am bookmarking your post! I never heard of these!
