I want to be where the people are! (AKA… we are finally returning home!)

It was rough but fortunately we had 3 days at MK so I tried not stress (too much!). I find that when things go awry at Disney that I am the only one who stresses about it- everyone else is just there for the ride (lol). My kids are fairly easy to please so they had a blast even though we didn’t ride many rides that day.

Your day was very similar to ours! We were doing the same two lands that day and did many of the same rides. We were even on TSI around the same time. The biggest difference is that we were on TSI when the rain started and got drenched on the ferry. Then we had to stick around for our BOG reservation because our BLT room wasn’t assigned yet. I totally wish we had been able to go back to the room and change clothes before returning for dinner and stayed till park close. Oh well! It was a fun day anyway.

Great minds think (mostly) alike!

I just saw that they have reopened the space playground at the end of mission space. Add this to the dumbo playground reopened, and that makes two. This is great news for parents of little ones, as it was one of my biggest frustrations. My 4 year old literally touched every chain, bar, post, etc in line. Taking away the interactive elements in the lines doesn’t really make sense when kids touch things anyways. I’m happy to hear that these will be back for our next trip.

My DS was so disappointed to come out of rides like Test Track and Mission Space and see so much stuff to play with … but have it roped off. I hope they can open more of this stuff.

Alright onto day 7 (Saturday, June 5).

I posted a bit about this day above (RotR ride 2 and Beaches and Cream Kitchen Sink) but I’ll post a full recap here.

We started our second HS day by walking to the park. Walking is our favorite mode of transportation for HS and Ep rope drops since we have the most control over our schedule.

We arrived at the taps around 8:15 this day so not first but not too far back. The move to the right after security is a great strategy at HS, we always pass a lot of people this way. Since we weren’t rope dropping SDD today it didn’t matter that we weren’t at the front.

We headed straight to RNRC. The plan was for DH and DS14 to ride this and for me and DS14 to grab a rider swap. Me and the littles were going to then head to MMRR. Unfortunately there was no one there to give out RS so I had DS14 pass me his magic band while he and DH got in line. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a cm to arrive and give us a RS. I then took DS4 and DD to MMRR. We basically walked on even with the delay.

DH and DS then hopped on Tot since the wait was short.

We all met up at MFSR. Because we arrived about 15 minutes later than our first day (9:15 vs 9:00) our wait was longer. Today we waited about 30 minutes. For me it’s worth the wait since the whole family loves it, we get to ride by ourselves, and the queue is very engaging for everyone.

After MFSR, we took some more pics around GE. Our BG 22 was called right at 10:00 so we headed there next. Again, this is a fun family ride as everyone enjoys it and the queue is exciting. We were super surprised to find that there were missing elements on our first ride (Rey, transporter) so that was an added bonus to riding it again.

We then hit up ST. This time, DH sat out due to his motion sickness. We saw the Pixar motorcade pass by the queue at 10:50.

Afterwards, we ate a snack at Backlot express. We were hoping to time it with the motorcade so we ate outside. This was perfect! The motorcade came by exactly one hour after the earlier one and we had a front row view with hardly anyone else around. It was extra special since the kiddos were wearing their toy story shirts and they received special attention from Woody, Jessie, and Buzz. They were on Cloud 9. The Disney magic is still here!

We explored GE some more and then hit up Oga’s for our 12:20 reservation. We waited 10 minutes after checking in. It was so worth it! I think Ogas was probably one of the family favorite experiences this trip. It was costly with a family of 5 but definitely worth it for us. We got a large booth right next to DJ Rex. DH and I got Jedi Mind trick and Outer Rim for the first round and shared a Yub Nub (minus the souvenir mug) on round 2. The kids got Hyperdrive, Java Juice, and Carbon Freeze for the first round and shared Blurrgfire for round 2. The adult favorite was Yub Nub and the kid favorite was Hyperdrive. Honorable mention goes to Carbon Freeze for the fun factor but DD had a challenging time finishing it without having the liquid nitrogen go up her nose.

After Ogas, we hit up AS2 which was very interesting after drinks.

We took the skyliner back to YC/BC for our B&C reservation. The skyliner was a favorite of DS4 and DD. They thought of it as a ride! It was a parent favorite since each time we rode, we could keep the stroller out versus folding it on the buses.

After our B&C ressie, we hit up SAB. Like @Jeff_AZ, the early evening (around 6) was our favorite time to hit up the pool. Never too crowded and plenty overcast so no worries about sun exposure.

DS and I tried out the water slide and it is so fun! Unfortunately, I didn’t get any pool pics since i left my phone in the room.

We headed back to the room around 8 since we had an early morning RD at MK planned.

I love it! One of my favorite memories is DD10 (now she’s DD18) being picked out of the parade crowd by Prince Naveen because of her stuffed Ray that she was waving!

Also, ASS after drinks at Oga’s sound super fun!

Ok time to wrap it up!
Day 8 (final MK day)

One last day of rope dropping 7dmt. We then hit up WtP and finally BTMRR. All these were basically walk ons. We then rode a bunch of Fantasyland rides with short to no waits.

We ran in to the evil stepsisters and they had a lot of fun with my villains shirt. They asked why “dear mother” never makes it onto any shirts so I told them that I would add her face to the back. :joy:

We then grabbed lunch and sat at the secret liner lunch table (shall I go as far to say it’s the #MKsacredspot??). The kids loved their private viewing area of all the calvacades. The princesses especially loved having DS4 blow them kisses. We also surprised the kids with one more bonus night/day at lunch so they were over the moon!

We got to ride the riverboat for the first time! It was fun but hot!

Since it was our goal to cover everyone’s favorites one last time, we of course had to then ride HM (DS4s fave!) and the family favorite, PM. We then hit up one of my faves, Potc!

On our way out, we got one more set of castle pics and said our goodbyes to the castle. We rode the bus to CBR for our last minute add on to our trip, got settled in a hit the pillows!

Day 9 (last day! HS)

We were 3/3 on RotR BG. Yay! Although today was our latest BG- the internet speeds were slower at CBR than YC. We then rode the skyliner to HS for our final park day. Even though we were right next to the RR skyliner station, we walked to the CBR station so that we could have a direct ride to HS.

Today was all about the family rides so we rope dropped MMRR. We were the first riders of the day! The cast members made a big deal out of it so that made it extra fun for the kiddos. We then headed to TSMM. It was having some serious technical issues so we didn’t get off the ride close til 9:30 eek! We then headed to ride MFSR. Despite being here around the same time as the other two HS days, the wait was substantially longer. We had our longest wait of the trip- 50 minutes! It’s thing the queue is engaging! I am glad we got to ride 3 times so that everyone could try out the different jobs- pilot was my favorite, followed by engineer.

DH, DD, and DS4 went to the Disney junior dance party while DS9 and I went to the blue umbrella nearby. Unfortunately the group in front us were not so kind to rhe cm- that’s really too bad when that happens. We (kindly!) explained that we didn’t get a chance to ride RNRC with our rider swap the other day due to an ADR. The cm was very nice and added a fp on our account for us.

After riding and meeting up with the fam, we grabbed lunch and got in our final ride on RotR. We did one final spin on TSMM and souvenir shopping, we ate a quick dinner at Pizzerizzos. We took our final skyliner trip back to the hotel, grabbed our bags, freshened up and got in line for ME. We were picked up at 5:45 for our 8:50 flight. DS4 was the only one who slept on the flight. In fact, he slept from the time the safety spiel started on the plane until the next morning. My fave memory was sitting on the floor at the airport waiting for the bags at CMH and him sleeping on my lap. I am so thankful for big siblings to come to the rescue and a DH who pulled the car up for us.

Yes! I literally don’t think anyone else sat there for the entire day but I did see some families eyeing us as they went by. We felt like VIPs! :joy:

Also, is it weird that I feel like now that I have finished my trip report that I can officially book our next trip? #linerlife

You’re a little tardy. The pros have the next trip booked before the first trip begins  But we’ll allow it!

Me too! It’s not as quiet and secluded and perfect as THE sacred space, but it is a little secret passed among liners that can bring some magic to our children’s day!

Lol- he was “looking for the camera”! But I agree… teen embarrassment is more likely the reason for the look!
