My question: could a One Piece land or attraction come to Orlando? And if so where would it fit?
I’m going on Friday May 8th! I’m so excited to see it. This is the attraction that night that my DD24 is most excited for!
I’m curious as to how Luffy’s Gum-Gum powers (or Captain Buggy’s Chop-Chop powers) are gonna be duplicated in front of a live audience
The descriptor also says the Marines will be involved, and that could include any number of other characters who have eaten Devil Fruit
I haven’t watched, but here’s the show!
My family would adore that! (One of our cats is named after the boat.)
ETA: They even floated the idea of going to Japan for One Piece something-or-other.
Okay, this is leagues better than the Netflix adaptation!
You’re kidding, right?! This was cute, but the Netflix adaptation is incredible.
- The narrative/pacing is far too rushed – 11 volumes of manga are condensed into 8 episodes
- The main characters all suffered major alterations (Nami’s arc was practically nonexistent)
- The unique and bizarre world is toned down and sanitized
- So many scenes were altered or outright omitted
- Who gives a shit about the Coby/Garp subplot?
- All around bad casting
Wow, we should probably never watch the same shows! ![]()
Did you also love the Netflix versions of ATLA or Kakegurui (retitled “Bet’“)?
Haven’t seen those two. My anime/anime inspired viewing is fairly narrow.
Fullmetal Alchemist, Cowboy Bebop, Bleach, Death Note?
I have not seen the Anime / manga but I really enjoyed the Netflix show! I am not a big fan of the disgust response many of the scenes induce, but the characters are really lovable.
We’re slowly making our way through Season 2 now.
I’m trying to think what about the show would trigger that?
Nope. I’m more of a Sailor Moon type of fan.
Have you seen the show? ![]()

Like every bad guy does gross things. Like that one who splits his body up into a million pieces.
But it’s so cartoonish! I don’t find Buggy (the guys who splits into pieces) gross at all.
Different strokes. ![]()
Well they’re four really great anime that got really shitty live action remakes produced by Netflix
So how was it?
