I am really excited and so is DD. She is a theatre kid so that aspect is an extra layer.
Reddit added a new layer of “OMG what is this going to be like” when I saw a mention of smells and splaces. I had never thought about that 4D aspect of it

Yay! I am so excited for you, too. You actually made me (just now) check about upgrading to RIP tour. “Luckily” UOR knew I really couldn’t swing it and it’s sold out our night (yikes!!).
So fun about the theatre. Mine not so much but still right up her alley. One of my favourite halloween memories/pictures ever is her nursery school halloween party. My kid is the swamp monster in a sea of little princesses.
I don’t think I mentioned it here, but I will be going to the opening night “Premium Scream” event on August 28th!
I’ll have all the first impressions! I plan to eat all the food!!

Look into the Behind the Scenes tours, you get to see a ton of the sets and designs with the lights on.
These look amazing. I was going to wait to do this next year, but if Fallout is part of the tour, I may go ahead and do it this year.

I also missed the El Artista: A Spanish Haunting announcement. If only Gullermo del Torro had a hand in that one

Watching more about El Artista it sounds like Mystic Manor meets Spanish Artist possessed by his house - with more horror thrown in. I’m here for this. Excited this week should have lots of original house announcements!
Here is that announcement. Sounds like the premise of the entire event is that it takes place inside this house, or inside its conservatory.

And the newest one. Why has no one talkes about the smell aspect of these houses? That was news to me!
It comes up each year! There’s always an “offense” odor house - like vomit or feces!
One year the Monsters house used rotting roses for the Phantom of the Oprea.
Everyone is thinking this is going to be that house. They are also excited for smell of burnt platic that is probably going to be a part of the doll one.
So now we have Toy Story and Frozen!

If rumors are true the last two (in addition to Five Nights at Freddy’s) is a WWE one and Terrifier.(Terrifier interests me the least)
I have tickets to attend Sunday September 7th with DD17. This will be our first HHN, and we haven’t been to Universal in a few years, so I also purchased the scream early add-on so we can enter at 3:00, and was thinking we could do a few rides from 3:00-5:00. I was thinking of booking 1 night at Portofino so we can relax at the resort during the early part of the day and be within walking distance for the event (gonna try and make it till the end and it would be nice not to have to drive at that time of night). I know the hotel express pass doesn’t work for HHN, and I wasn’t planning to buy HHN express passes because we’re not really trying to do it all. I think our goal will be to do maybe 2 or 3 houses, take in the atmosphere of the scare zones, try some of the HHN specific foods, and maybe a show and a couple of rides. However, I’m wondering if we would be able to use the Express passes that come with the Deluxe hotels during the 3:00 to 5:00 time frame?
